And you honestly think this is going to make one iota of difference? You are completely delusional.

The few studies to estimate ocean plastic pollution suggest a handful of Asian countries are disproportionately responsible. A study by the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research, in Germany, has been cited as saying that most ocean plastic comes from 10 rivers in Asia and Africa.

Another study, by the Jambeck Research Group at the University of Georgia, found that mismanaged plastic waste — the sort likely to land in oceans — would barely decrease if Europe and North America cut out all plastic.
Every bit helps. This group is doing some impressive ocean cleanup work in the areas you mention. Better education in those areas along with stricter enforcement is necessary. Ocean life is affected by the plastic dumps. Many of those countries rely on the ocean for fishing / food. Fish have been caught with micro plastic in them.........and that contaminates the food supply. It is a multi pronged issue. Humans have been very irresponsible on so many levels it is heart breaking.

China lodges a complaints when Trudeau laments their use of "coercive diplomacy"

It is a rarity for a Canadian Prime Minister to mention anything bad in regards to China. Our entire trade policy with them has been one of ignoring their horrendous human rights abuses.

It is time Trudeau turned op the heat on China. Certainly pointing out their tendency toward bully diplomacy is a small first step.

Very recent news that the Chinese stock exchange had exceeded $10 trillion US dollar valuation and regular Canadians have very limited access to that market. I say it's a fix and the gig is up. Time for tar and feathers.

Ethics commissioner received complaint about Liberal MP hiring sister years ago

The office of Canada's conflict of interest and ethics commissioner received a complaint about MP Yasmin Ratansi employing her sister using public funds more than two and a half years ago, but turned it away, CBC News has learned.

Commissioner Mario Dion's office confirmed it said the complaint didn't "appear" to fall under its jurisdiction when it received it in 2018. The office has since changed its mind; it sent a letter of concern to Ratansi and launched a preliminary review of the case following media coverage.

"It does appear in looking at this we could have approached this differently in 2018, and perhaps we should have caught the allegation against MP Ratansi," wrote Jocelyne Brisebois, a communications officer with Dion's office, in a statement to CBC News.

Ratansi, a longtime MP for Don Valley East, announced last week she had left the Liberal caucus after CBC News revealed that she had been employing her sister as her constituency assistant since 2017 in violation of Parliamentary rules. MPs are not allowed to hire immediate family members, including siblings.

Several former employees told CBC News Ratansi tried to "cover up" the relationship at the office by having her sister go by the first name 'Jenny'. Former staffers also said they saw Ratansi's sister hide in an office or under her desk when people came into the office who might recognize her, and alleged they were instructed not to take photos of her at work events.

MPs have their own operating budgets and are allowed to pay constituency assistants a maximum salary of $89,700 a year, according to the House of Commons. That means Ratansi could have paid her sister up to $269,100 for three years of salary.......More

Maryam Monsef’s Hot Mic Gaffe Catches Liberal Minister Talking About Her Salary

Monsef voted virtually and against the motion. Her voice popped up unexpectedly after Conservative, Bloc Québécois, NDP, and Green MPs had their turns to vote, interjecting just before Independent MP Jody Wilson-Raybould’s turn.

“The question they’re gonna ask me—how much do I make now? Like 250?” ....More
