"Face diapers" is an ignorant term used by ignorant people. Diapers has the connotation of shit, which is NOT a product valued for saving lives!

Referring to masks in that manner is ignorant yes, and weak as well. It does nothing but prove that anyone who uses the term has no logical argument to offer in rationalizing why they they believe they are ineffective.

My mistake, I recalled his televised statement incorrectly, what he said was that he had no knowledge of the project. Which I believe to be a lie considering all the elbow rubbing that took place between the people involved and Trump and members of his family. To my credit, whenever someone has been connected to him in a way that would cast him in a suspicious light his usual response is to deny knowing them at all, so for me it was a given.

Some might call that jumping to conclusions or even conspiracy theory.

For me an appropriate setting is one where I can't social distance in an indoor public place, and if that business requires the wearing of face masks then I wear one, no big deal. And even if they don't I still wear one out of respect to others.

Still though, you are not answering my question, what do you get out of calling them face diapers? What does it do for you? And further why do you care? Why does it bother you to the point of insulting people who choose to wear them? How does it possibly hurt you in any way? As I stated before the fact that some wear face masks may have kept you from catching this virus.

Yes I remember the shut down and yes I remember when the experts said that the wearing of face masks wasn't necessary. But I can appreciate that as new information came to light concerning this virus that situations evolve and that suggested precautions can change. If I remember correctly the recommendation to wear face masks came around the time after were done to determine how this virus behaved in the air. Not a lot was known about this virus early on and so the projected death rates were high, but with precautions in place like the wearing of face masks and social distancing luckily the numbers didn't grow to meet the projections. I choose to look at the good advice given to prevent death rather than criticize because not as many people died as they projected.
