You should fly and rent a car there.

3400 miles at 100KM/hr is 34 hours of driving.

Why would anyone do that?
Yes I agree , who would want to spend anytime in flyover country ?

We are driving from Regina Saskatchewan to Central BC in each direction it’s 1700 km. With a max 400 km range between charging with an EV like the Tesla model three.... it’s just not feasible with the time constraints and wanting to actually enjoy time at our Destination. One of our daughters is getting married and we would like to spend the time there with her and the grandkids instead of waiting while the car charges repeatedly there and back. The day will come with these things make sense for the rest of us outside of large metropolitan areas and for vacations and so on and so forth but it’s just not now for us for practicality.
Its less than 1700km to the coast. Walsh has cheapest gas in AB.

After Calgary top up in Golden even its just $15. It's the last cheap gas.

Is there a resident in BC who doesn't welcome travellers from other provinces coming here and pissing and shitting on the side of the road?
That's only for a select few, keep in mind its s the TRANS Canada. That's why I drive straight through and never stop at rest areas.

Take 2 Aspirin 81 pronto Tonto. Are you alone? Is there someone I should call?
You should call your provincial mental health people daily.

I wanna take an EV across the prairie. It'd take a while, but I bet I'd get in the Guinness Book of Stupid Records for "longest extension-cord chain."

Do EV owners not have to use the facilities too?

Also airplane restrooms are nothing to write home about.
Regardless of whether they drive or fly, just be sure not to have a plan.

Wing it as they say.

We're all fine with that.

Regina to Vernon is 1300kms, then a side trip to someplace called “Horsefly Lake” that’s somewhere NE of 150 Mile House, back to Vernon, then a trip to Kelowna & back to Vernon, & then back to Regina.

What you actually do is charge them at your destination while you are doing all the fun stuff you went there to do.
That's called destination charging.
Our local grocery store has two spots just for charging. 1 dollar and hour for the first 2 hours then 2 dollars an hour after that.
Our SUV can fill from 1/4 tank to full in about 3 minutes, & we’re on our way again in COVID times, and tap at the pump so no contact with anybody hopefully....🤞....someday an EV might be practical for a situation like ours, but just not next week.

It's one of those places that sounds so scenic & inviting like 'Waste Water Drive' but my girl wants to go there to visit friends she's had for decades that live there.
It is beautiful, interesting history in that country , good fishing but mosquitos . This late in the year , they shouldn’t be that bad . You will have a good time .

Some of our best road trips have been that. Our honeymoon was 14 days where we just drove down the US east coast then west to New Orleans and Texas then back north again. 15 states in 14 days with full day stops in NC and St. Louis. We did what we felt like as we were going. This was done in the days before GPSs. I couldn't imagine the same trip being done in an EV. Too many complications and limitations. But if I needed a car for just around the city, did not live in an apartment, and they were equivalently priced, I would consider an EV.

You understand that you can't make that drive these days right?

Borders are closed because there is a pandemic.
