Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

A facebook meme so it must be true.

Let everybody but the anti-vaxers get the vaccine then we should all give them a big giant hug. Ideally we would still be carriers.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

My understanding that the only 'good' thing about this virus is it is rather slow to mutate. Compare that to the flu which mutates very quickly which is why the flu vaccines are hit and miss.

True about this virus.

The flu is a little more complicated than that but what you said is somewhat true.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Were hospitals over run with the sick?
No?
Mission accomplished.
That was the whole objective.
Yahoos will never understand.

So isn't it time to investigate herd immunity to either thwart or deal with the second wave in areas that rounded the curve?

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Coding that led to lockdown was 'totally unreliable' and a 'buggy mess', say experts
The code, written by Professor Neil Ferguson and his team at Imperial College London, was impossible to read, scientists claim

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/technol...wn-totally-unreliable-buggy-mess-say-experts/

And our gubmints closed our economy for this shit.

Says the chief medic on the forum! Just be thankful there's someone out there trying to keep idiots like you alive! :)

Over 850 people die every day in Canada for all kinds of reasons. Wuflu in three months has supposedly killed 6,000, that's the equivalent of one week of deaths. We closed the economy for a statistical blip, if that.

Scaremongering twaddle.

Look at Britain. Put into lockdown which will destroy the economy and kill people because of Professor Ian Ferguson, who predicted that 500,000 would die in Britain if there were no lockdown. This is the same man who wildly exaggerated the number of deaths of other recent epidemics, including the 2001 foot and mouth disease epidemic in Britain. And now it's emerged that Ferguson's modelling to get that 500,000 figure was seriously flawed and overestimated, again, the number of deaths. Why the hell the government listened to him, I don't know.

But the UK lockdown is based on dodgy "science."

But good to hear Boris saying he wants in ended by July.

How about the areas that have zero new cases and all the rest resolved?

How about areas that never had a case reported?

Yep, you just go and open those places up and see how long it takes before idiots are flocking in there. What we need is an air tight seal around the whole shiteree.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Personally I love to travel. Tourism is also a good revenue generator for wherever you are living. It is also a necessity. I have a daughter and grand daughters in OH. My mother-in-law is in OH. My dad is in SK and my sister is in AB. And I live in Toronto. Hard to not have to travel if one wants to visit. The days where everybody works and lives in their parent's home town has been over for some time.

I'm going to the beach tomorrow if it's nice.

I'm on holiday all this week.

“I had a little bird
its name was Enza
I opened the window,
And in-flu-enza.”

During the pandemic of 1918/19, over 50 million people died worldwide and a quarter of the British population were affected. The death toll was 228,000 in Britain alone. Global mortality rate is not known, but is estimated to have been between 10% to 20% of those who were infected.
