Is that where they keep all the temperature stations and do satellites focus on pavement? Are weather stations in paved areas showing different warming trends at night?
Also warming more in winter than summer. Seems odd.
Also it's still warming downtown and out of town despite low solar irradiance.
How can this be?
They dont average? Cool!
Something huge happened around the world in recent history. Any guesses?

Why are nights warming but daytime heating is not as hot as it was. That is a milder, less extreme climate.

I asked you earlier why it was warming and your answer was it is the sun.

So now your saying it’s not warming.

So let’s begin there and establish that first instead of running around in circles.

If that’s okay with you.

The warming has stalled. 1998-2014 sputtered 3 years and began cooling since.

That's an impossibility with a bell curve based on the CO2 input theory.

If the sun doesnt drive climate what does? The moon?

Yes Greeland has been gaining mass as the 2014-17 minor leap was erased.

Please try to stay current.

Warming hasn’t stalled.

Greenland ice mass is decreasing.

If you are saying the sun is the only driver of climate change I think we are done here.

Climate change trends aren’t in 4 year increments so I’ll stay current within reason.

Using the data that were available at the time (through 2012), the last climate report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concluded that there had been no statistically significant increase in global surface temperature from 1998-2012.

Near zero. That is the furthest thing from a bell curve aka hockey stick.

Now from the Danish (DMI)...

2019 was a year with a high degree of melting of the Ice Sheet
The surface mass balance (SMB) is an expres-
sion of the isolated growth and melting of
the surface of the Ice Sheet. It is monitored
via actual measurements and computer
simulations. The Danish Meteorological Insti-
tute (DMI) performs daily simulations of how
much ice or water the Ice Sheet loses or ac-
cumulates. Based on these simulations, an
overall measurement of how the surface
mass balance develops across the entire Ice
Sheet is obtained (Fig. 1). At the end of the
season (31st August 2019), the net surface
mass balance was 169 Gt (one gigatonne
equals one billion tonnes, which corresponds
to one cubic kilometre of ice). This means
that this season returned the seventh lowest
result in terms of surface mass balance. It
also means that 9 of the 10 lowest results for
the surface mass balance – which have been
calculated since 1981 – have occurred during
the last 13 years.
In other words, 169 Gt more snow fell than
what melted and ran off into the sea
.
average of 368 Gt. As a point of reference,
the lowest calculated SMB was only 38 Gt in
2012.

17 18 and 19 were all GIS years of gain.

Why is a sure thing flatlining and going backwards?

DMI report for 2017 says...

Autumn 2017 and winter 2017/2018 were snow-rich. They were followed by a cool summer with a weak melting season. As a consequence, the inland ice experienced a tiny increase. While the ice cap lost 268 gigatons (268 milliard tons) on average over the period 2000-2016, there was a small surplus of 44 Gt in 2017.

2018...

If
only
the 6 largest glaciers are considered,
they have grown only slightly overall. This
applies to Jakobshavn, Kangerdlugssuaq,
Helheim, Petermann, Zachariae and 79°
Glacier, which increased their area by an
average of +3.7 km2 during the year. Two of
these glaciers retreated, however, whereas
the other four grew in size.

Since 2002 the Greenland ice mass has reduced 4700 Gt.

It's lost 700 Gt since 2018.

From Sept 17 2019 to Feb 19 2020 it did gain 70 gt.

Increased snowfall is expected during warming but so is a faster melt.

....and it is warming unless you want to cherry pick like you just did.

2001 was about 0.54 degrees c above the average temps between 1951-1980, 2012 was 0.64 degrees c above so not much warming but still warming. From 2012 to 2019 it rose 0.34 for a total above the 1951-1980 to 0.98 degrees c.

All while the sun irradiation is reducing.

This also with large amounts of aerosols produced by China and other areas which should be cooling us down...it's not.

Is it the moon?

Its not 2001 is it? If 2001 comes back your arguement will have merit.

Growth the past three years all during a climate flatline.

Take a deep breath and left it out and ask yourself, "how the f-ck did I fall for this shit?"

You’re cherry picking again.

I’ll do it too.

The last two years the temperature has risen 0.13 degrees c.

What is cherry picked. I clearly stated climate flatlined for 20 years and Greenland has gained.

It didnt happen that way?

Do you see this? Nice bell curve huh? No flatline, no reversals, no reductions. And about 50% in the past 20 years.

Why isnt climate cooperating?

It hasn’t flatlined, I gave you the numbers.

Ice mass has reduced by 4700 gt over the last 18 years.

Your graph supports the warming trend when you look at the suns decreased irradiance and an increase in anthropogenic aerosols.

Unless you have any data on the effects of the moon.

Tesla stock up pre earnings report at 6:30.

Any chance Greenland grows and shrink cyclically?

My graph is CO2 increase. Is climate following the narrative? Yes or no?

Ah yes aerosols. Have you ever heard of the other cap and trade scheme going?

NOAA isnt as obtuse and admits to flatline from 98-14 Increases werent zero but damn close enough.

During that period did CO2 rise exponentially?

Why is Antarctic gaing as well?

NEWS | November 5, 2015
Study: Mass gains of Antarctic ice sheet greater than losses
By Maria-José Viñas,
NASA's Earth Science News Team

A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers.

The research challenges the conclusions of other studies, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) 2013 report, which says that Antarctica is overall losing land ice.

According to the new analysis of satellite data, the Antarctic ice sheet showed a net gain of 112 billion tons of ice a year from 1992 to 2001. That net gain slowed to 82 billion tons of ice per year between 2003 and 2008.

I dont think Tesla is a textile company and does little if any dying.

Ah yes aerosols. Have you ever heard of the other cap and trade scheme going?

So it's shrinking then.....right?

I haven't even mentioned CO2.....

Just looking at temperature rise, if we can't agree on that, then what's the point of the why?

I don't care for the cap and trade system and in fact I don't even have an agenda. Use fossil fuels, build the pipeline and find efficiencies where possible I don't really care. I'd like to have an electric car one day and if you don't it doesn't bother me at all.

If you had bought a 1000 shares of Tesla a month ago you'd have made 200 grand. I would have but I don't have that kind of scratch.;-)
