Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Sad state.

To sum up, meat packing plants are experiencing huge outbreaks of Covid 19 (essential workers). Also not in states that are shut down. Local/area numbers of positives are rising because of that.

And the lack of PPE and lack of, well, ANY leadership in the company other than utmost profits and ignorance to the workers in the place.

Places like that are why the lockdowns will keep going.

Good on the Jane Doe in Missouri.

You know what, here's a question for you Blackie.

Why are so many in nursing homes dying to Covid 19, when there aren't this many deaths at once to the flu, if Covid is "just the flu" or "just a cold"?

Shouldn't herd immunity have taken hold by now?

What about these places like processing plants in the US; people are dying there, they're getting Covid, presenting as asymptomatic... shouldn't herd immunity be kicking in by now?

We need to consult the VA for techniques on psych treatment for the traumatized. It applies to Covid-19 responders now.

NB hasn't had the hard cases that NS has had... from stuff I've heard and seen from NS nurses it's been unreal.

Everyone will need help after all this.

Yep, and everyone needs to get it.

The techniques developed in the wake of Vietnam, mostly by amateurs and veterans, and the techniques being practiced by the military and VA, would be a good starting point.

I hope my profession bullies reluctant employers to shell out the bucks for it. Might could write a threatening letter or two (complete with Dickensian language) myself if the chance comes my way.

And there's not much place for me to say it, so I'll just put it here. Joe Kaplan died at 66 of Covid-19 Friday. He was a good man and a good lawyer. We'll miss him.

A sign of how strange these times are. The Pentagon released legit pictures of a UFO the other day and it’s not even trending.

All kinds of UFOs.
If it's in the air and you can't identify it, it's a UFO.
Which does not mean it's a shipful of Klingons or whatever.

Why so serious this morning..

I'm stuck here in Laredo, Texas in 105F weather waiting for an Avocado load on Thursday..

... and everything is shut down, oh and the city wants you to wear a face covering in 105F

Why is that ? Maybe because the immigrants working in these places refuse to obey social distancing ?

You're waiting for a load of Italian lawyers?

Where on earth are you taking them?
