If carbon output can't be reduced while keeping all those things how did the US reduce its carbon emissions over the last few years while the economy was going bonkers....eh wot?

IDIOT! Among other things, the Yankees CLOSED over 150 coal fired generators!

And switched over to natural gas that burns much cleaner!

And it is ALWAYS easier to clean the air if you drive all manner of HEAVY INDUSTRY OFFSHORE!

Just think of how much fossil fuel is needed to make concrete or steel!

And when LIE-berals make their claims about how efficient and cost effective mouldy green wind and solar energy are

THEY ALWAYS FUDGE THE NUMBERS on carbon output during the building of green items!

The same “ liberal media” that broke the SNC Lavolin scandal and the multiple black face incidents? I didn’t see Rebel media breaking those stories.

Probably because YOU AVOIDED LOOKING!

And besides Rebel Media and its chief Levant were too busy answering questions from LIE-beral Soviet Socialist Commissars

regarding Levant publishing a book critical of LIE-berals during the 2019 election!

LIE-berals wanted to CHARGE LEVANT for failing to register as a third party commentator during the election - specifically because

HE DID NOT ASK FOR LIE-beral permission prior to publishing his book during the election!

LIE-berals got BADLY STUNG BY LEVANT when he pointed out IN THE LIE-beral legal literature the SPECIFIC PARAGRAPHS

that EXEMPTED BOOK PUBLISHERS FROM THE NEED TO REGISTER!

OOPSIE! LIE-beral BIGOTS exposed yet again!

Emissions from natural gas power generation increased by more than 40 million metric tons last year, compared to a drop of 190 million metric tons for coal.

For some weird reason new markets for NG are opening up left right and center. Youd almost think NG was demonizing coal and scaring the public into using more NG.

Strange, isn't it?

Back in the day, the coal-fired power plants would build as close as possible to the mines in order to reduce transpo costs. As those sites became mined-out, they relied on rail to get the fuel to the site and drove up costs.

Considering that nat gas is (at present) so cheap and the pipeline infrastructure is already in place, it only makes sense from an economic perspective to convert and has ZERO to do with this CO2 = Bad BS being bandied about.

With this in mind, in the next # of years, nat gas will get more expensive and all of those do-gooders in the East and lower mainland will be in for a big shock

Nah, they'll just hitch up plastic diapers and tubes to cows and Canadians.

Replenish the natural gas supply. It's renewable!

Ruminants and heavy beer drinkers are particularly rich sources.

Gotcha... Apparently I need another cup of coffee.

Anywho, with that said, bring on burrito and draft beer night! (I'm doing it for Gaia, you understand)

I wish the lower mainland all the luck with that, but considering that they haven't been able to solve the raw sewage into the ocean thingy for a hundred or so years, I'm guessing that the endeavor ranks as a fantasy for sometime in the far future
