Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Where ? I have the same 45 bucks in my pocket since last Monday .

Federal COVID-19 benefits program portal opens today: Here's how to apply

The federal government is launching an application portal on Monday where Canadians facing unemployment due to the COVID-19 crisis can apply for emergency income support benefits.
Canadians can go to Canada.ca for information about the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB). Service Canada and Canada Revenue Agency are jointly administering the CERB.

Applicants who set up direct deposit are expected to receive a first payment within three to five days. Those who use mail should receive a first payment within 10 days. Payment is $2,000 a month for up to four months.
People can apply beginning at 6 a.m. ET on Monday.
People who are normally eligible for employment insurance (EI) can continue to apply through EI and Service Canada, and they will automatically be enrolled in CERB.
The CERB offers income support for people who have stopped working due to the pandemic, including those not eligible for EI, contract employees and freelancers.
To ensure the portal can handle the expected high volume of applications and the system is not overloaded, the government has staggered application periods over the work week based on an applicant's month of birth.
Those born in January through March are asked to apply on April 6, the first day the web portal opens. People born in April through June are to apply April 7, those born in July through September on April 8, and Canadians with birth months October through December can sign up on April 9......More

My Bday is in March meaning my DL expired. I paid but couldn't get my photo updated. My new license came last Wednesday. No photo or signature so I put a happy face sticker where the picture goes.

Question. If CheezWhiz said nothing and Anericans found out masks were going to Canada what would be the outcome be with the public?
If Canada were exporting masks to the US while needed in Canada how would you react?
CheezWhiz does everything "with music" meaning he puts on as big of a show as possible.

Thought it prudent to once again reference this post in which you wondered how Americans would react if America sent aid to another country that was needed locally, well turns out they did. Not to Canada, but to China:

https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry...4B-qYtq8qc25FofgG4PgxMcRhCXAcvas2EuktQ1TggH7z

The U.S. State Department shipped 17.8 tons of donated coronavirus medical supplies to China seven weeks ago, when health experts and some American lawmakers were already seeking federal action to prepare the country for the disease.

The massive shipment to China included medical masks, gowns and respirators, now in desperately short supply across America. The supplies were contributed by American companies and nonprofits, according to a U.S. Agency for International Development official.

The State Department touted its aid to China in a press release Feb. 7, three weeks after the first COVID-19 case emerged in Washington state. The statement said the agency was prepared to spend $100 million on the fight against the disease in China and other foreign countries. That was the same day the World Health Organization sounded an alert that such supplies were in critically short supply around the globe.

The first paragraph was plenty because you admitted youd be pissed and secondly, the supply chain conception was brought up by 3M.
3M working with the White House to ease tension was well played.
The big picture is important.

Your last sentence was plenty as you acknowledged that the big picture is important.

Public Health England estimates that on average 17,000 people have died from the flu in England annually between 2014/15 and 2018/19. However, the yearly deaths vary widely from a high of 28,330 in 2014/15 to a low of 1,692 in 2018/19.

Total official number of coronavirus deaths in England so far - although the number is almost certainly exaggerated - 4,687.
