Well Obama was the President prior to Trump , and during his term all we heard was but Bush . In Canad the liberals in their second term are still playing the Harper card .

The reaction would have been the same as when Obama won election in 2008 , a lot of crying and outrage by the usual people and life goes on . Most people are to busy in their everyday lifes to pay much attention to politics . C

I'll bite.... how about how sanctions against China have hurt American consumers and some businesses?
How about how abandoning allies in Syria weakens trust with other allies putting American interests at risk?
How about threatening to target cultural sites of enemies in the middle east destabilizing the region even more, again putting Americans there, and at home, at risk?
Of course he didn't need to but since when has that stopped Trump from ever going after any opponent, worthy or not. Trump rarely does things because he needs to, he does them to be the center of attention and make himself look superior. Whether Biden would be the candidate or not Trump saw him in the lead and acted accordingly. And remember, many Republicans didn't want Trumo as a candidate either, and look where we are now.
Granted but that doesn't change the fact that the number of people who are working or looking for work is barely changed since Trump was nominated. The Labor Force Participation rate was 62.9% when Trump was sworn in, it now sits at 63%, up by less than one half of a percentage point. So that statement/fact, while good for Latinos, is a cherry picked point on behalf of the GOP and don't reflect the broader picture.
Agreed, the hypocrisy is the same on all sides. Your point about people not having the time to pay attention to politics is bang on, and one of the reasons we have guys like Trump in office, they go to the polls completely unaware of who they are voting for save for a few soundbites here and there.
