The BC Liberals have more seats than the NDP yet the NDP rule in BC.

You might want to listen to what you have been told. It was actually a pretty astute observation and one I had not really thought about before
Since when are governments rulers in Canada ?

Percentage wise, the West has grown faster in population than any other region continuously, since the 50s. In spite of your incorrect and hateful prejudice, Western Canada has diversified its economy from 20 years ago.

However what do I expect from someone who has an irrational hatred of this region of Canada.
We are traitors don’t you know.

Funny how Quebec was the "Lower"(class) at one time and now a debutant as la Belle Province.

IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quebec was "Lower Canada" because it was farther down the St Lawrence River...............................

than Ontari-owe - which was UPPER CANADA - because it was UP RIVER from Quebec!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only a stinking LIE-beral who had run out of other Fake News.........................

would try to make something RACIST about up river and down river!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suppose it had nothing to do with Ottawa blocking manufacturing from setting up in the Prairies eh? Many times proposed major manufacturing, including Toyota as one of them from setting up on the prairies.

Over 30% of the Canadian GDP is generated from the West but account for 18% of the voice within the same country, yeah that's fair. Big Potato tried to take the Oil from the West to refine in the Central to boost jobs and then ship the finished product back to the West, yeah the West was getting a fair shake pfft.

The Comrade CALLS HIMSELF "Curious"..................................

but it is remarkable how LITTLE he wants to see, learn or even ask about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for "growing and diversifying" the economy...................................

LIE-beral Ottawa has been TRYING AND FAILING to do that for Canada...........................

literally since BEFORE Canada even existed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it was three GREEN Party MP's that rule in BC? The NDP kneels to them to keep the Liberals out of power, and the politics is reflective of this reality.

Dream Weaver quit so it's down to 2.
My bad. I've been pretty busy lately and have fallen behind. I'll have time to catch up in about 8 months or so. Cyclical nature of the business I'm involved in. Two people hold the balance of power in BC's politics then (?), and policy kowtows to these two people with the support of the NDP to remain in their position and avoid a provincial election to allow the people of BC to decide whom they really want to represent then then (?) instead of the accident of politics that they currently have?? If so, this is hardly the example that other jurisdictions would want to aspire to.....

It should turn back to Liberal , although Horgan is well liked and has been fairly moderate for NDP . Time will tell .

When I posted the question, I did mean it sincerely.

The balance between the basics in terms of things like affordability and those 'principled positions' is fickle at best and I do appreciate that once the election is past,we can then speculate on the possible motivations

It's never about economics or affordability. It's "what can they give me with my own money that I can't afford"?

I hear ya, but you know what YVR is like... hell, when I lived there years ago, it was expensive to just live. Now when I go back, I can't imagine how you'd be able to live and be able to enjoy the basics without an income of a couple hundred thousand (gross).

Considering that so many jobs are service related and pay so dismally, you're little more than a hamster on a wheel going from pay cheque to pay cheque

It has always been thus . The low interest rates do allow home ownership , and once in the game life becomes easier . Taxes are crazy high but isn’t that the case throughout Canada . And the feds still take the majority of tax dollars . Sadly B.C. like the rest of the country will never see fiscal balance until public sector unions are disallowed. That is not going to happen any time soon .
