We weren't issued Saturday Night Specials from Tru Valu Hardware and it would have been an offence for me to "carry" at all, anything, anywhere, anytime and any ammunition to go with it that was not specifically signed out to me (and return the exact number of spent and unfired rounds). One thing I'd like to add to my comments-it's Very Good News that the RCMP dive team did the job in that hellishly dangerous river and came out unscathed.
Scuba diving is dangerous enough without adding the kind of conditions found in roaring muddy rivers.
