Immigrants are the source of economic growth in this country ... demographic growth, too.
If immigrants are so great, why can’t they fix their own countries?
If immigrants are so great how come they built such shithole countries?
How many immigrants do you see fighting our forest fires or how many do you see in our military fighting for Canadian values?
Immigrants that build good countries are good to let in, those who build shithole countries are losers and should not be let in.
1st Canadian Division, Canadian Expeditionary Force of 1915 ... the guys who fought the Second Battle of Ypres and held the line during to first use of chlorine gas against them, was composed of over 80% immigrants.
Wearing a (fake) straw cowboy hat rather than a felt one are the only 'Westerners' this place has ever met.
When I look at the photos from the wild west 120 years ago when my Grandfather arrived there, I don't see one single cowboy hat but I do see a whole lot of bowlers (which were the working man's hard hat of the 19th century). The Stetson cowboy hat is an invention of Hollywood and Burbank and it's worked so well that the tuff guze out West think that it's their history.
I remember that sentiment being public not just the past ten years, but for most of my life, and I'm over 30.
My point was you keep saying the "east", but there's more "east" Than just Ontario and Quebec. But just seems like anyone out 'West' thinks Canada only goes that far.
That being said, I don't get what you mean by daggers here.
It's not your 'wealth' that draws me to the West. Or the 'laid back lifestyle'. I have a pretty laid back lifestyle here where I am. Wealth isn't that big an issue for me, either.
What draws me is the beauty of the region. The mountains, the prairies,the wildlife.
Well they certainly drove up the prices of homes in Vancouver & Toronto
Maybe they need a settlement package, new immigrants need to settle north of 60
