A tariff is a tax that is applied to something from Mexico that is sold in America.

So unless Mexicans come to America and buy those goods the tariffs are not being paid by Mexicans.

Who buys Mexican goods in America?

Is it Americans?

So who gets penalized when the consumer looks at a different manufacturer for the same item?

Why is that product cheaper from Mexico in the first place Hoid? Who's economy gets hurt worse when the cost is brought in line to a local product Hoid? Why did Mexico send a negotiation team within 3 days of the tariff announcement Hoid? Why did Mexico send the National guard within a couple of days since the negotiation to their Southern border Hoid? So who do you think inadvertently financed the wall Hoid?
