But I often look back at the campaign against smoking tobacco and how smokers and tobacco producers went from outright denial of the health risks, to ridiculing their opponents and on to crying for their "rights" as smokers, finally to the second class citizens they are today, not just outside, but ten meters down the sidewalk. This was achieved through relentless education and heavy taxation. Sound familiar at all? But some people do still smoke so I guess there's no convincing some folks.

According to the report home heating is the highest source of emissions, what are we trying to curb from an essential part of human existence in the Northern hemisphere? Burning wood? Move to the Southern hemisphere? Freeze? C'mon man I'm sure you can even see that it is nothing more than a wealth transfer disguised as saving the planet that a large part of the populace would accept over a new welfare or guaranteed income plans.

With the current price of fuel there is little Sunday pleasure driving going on anymore, it is on the most part down to essential driving for work or groceries. It will drive the cost of living through the roof because the tax will be reflected in every product that you purchase right down to a slice of bread.

The eco comunity may be enjoying significant growth but other religions are also growing. None provide proof of their position either. Even some ot the major ecowarior groupd admit they hype the situation to get attention. And we know that IPCC fake data. IMHO they are creating more problems than they are solving. We need to concentrate on cleaning up our garbage and concentrating on best practices when creating projects instead of destroying our economy and letting countries with vision get ahead of us. I trust my eyes, and my ears when it comes to older folk who have seen the change in weather patterns first hand. There is no doubt in my mind that we are causing changes and if we can't at least slow that rate of change we are going to mess things up in a big and permanent way.



I watched the Alberta NDP strive to find some middle ground between economic health and environmental responsibility only to fall victim to a barrage of emotional manipulation by Kenney and his band of schemers and plotters. He whipped the province into a frenzy convincing everyone that all their woes were the fault of the NDP whose major drawback was inheriting a mess from decades of Conservative government. Now, barely having warmed the seat in the premier's office, he is taking swipes at middle/low wage earners, environmental programs and trade unions all to appease his buddies in the oil towers in Calgary.



I work in the oilsands, I've watched with my own eyes what has transpired since the oil price started dropping in 2014. I've learned to see past the BS.



Now we have this new crook-on-the-rise in Ottawa, little Andy Scheer, riding a wave of anti-Trudeau sentiment that most likely was engineered in some back room of his own party, bribing the voters with promises of personal prosperity. He's going to scrap the carbon tax but won't say what his plan is for the environment or how he will replace lost tax revenue. Want to buy used geothermal system? I'm going back to gas. It sucks
in Canadian winters. Electric space heaters are needed to be comfortable and made my power bill unappealing. It's okay for AC tho.

Gas is way way cheaper and 99.9% efficient.

People need to learn how to drive. When commuting I get less than half the efficiency (11mpg). If I drive the same stretch off hours 28mpg in a 2015 V8 F150. It's all because of assholes that tailgate and brake hard.

I don't think zipper is a universal word to use to get f-cking Asians familiar with "merge like a zipper".

Asians and assholes are killing freeway efficiency.
