What "extra" carbon cash for Saskatchewan are you referring to? Aside from Ralph Goodale who isn't going to run again, the Liberals federally get no seats from Saskatchewan and haven't in a long long time. When Ralph walks away they'll get nothing Seat-wise from Sask.

Saskatchewan Appeal Court to rule on whether carbon tax constitutional

REGINA — Saskatchewan's Court of Appeal is to release its ruling this week on whether the federally imposed carbon tax is constitutional.
A registrar for the court says the decision is to be posted online Friday at noon.
The Saskatchewan Party government took Ottawa to court over the carbon levy and the Appeal Court heard two days of hearings in February.
The ruling will come just weeks after Ontario was in court for its own legal challenge against the tax and Manitoba filed papers with the Federal Court to launch a case of its own.
Premier Scott Moe said in a statement Tuesday that he welcomes the court decision.
Saskatchewan is one of four provinces without a pollution reduction plan accepted by Ottawa that became subject to the federal tax April 1.
It was the first to take the matter to court, arguing the tax is not constitutional because it is not evenly applied across all jurisdictions.
A lawyer for the Attorney General of Canada suggested Ottawa does have the power to impose a price on carbon because greenhouse gas emissions are a national concern.
Another sixteen groups from across the country, including the provincial governments of Ontario, New Brunswick and British Columbia, intervened in the case.

Has anybody looked at the fact raw product shipped by rail cannot 'be spilled by any means' and there is enough of it that it could 'pave' every road in Africa, India and China before moving into what Sask and Man have?

You would need 4 rail lines to keep up with demand for a product that is ready to lay down as soon as it is warmed up a bit so it can be extracted from the container it was loaded into at Ft Mac. Mexico should be given the material to show it does what it is advertised to do. Perhaps send it in a softwood container rather than metal like everywhere else.

it is a simple matter of dumping the pucks into the machinery as the shell- the puck- itself can also be refined along with its oil contents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


This idea of shipping oil in "pucks" sounds great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


The puck idea sounds even better- meaning neater and no spills and no disruption of big swathes of environment as pipe lines are built - than an oil pipeline does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Though I have not heard much about cost..........................................



But this is why practical real world tests on large scale puck production are under way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
