If I professed the Christian Faith, I'd be proclaiming from the rooftops that much of what the Church did in those schools had no relation to the teachings of Jesus... but that's just me.

No i blame the bureaucrats, careerists and apostates in the Catholic Magisterium (its bishops) for failing to supervise, report and oust the imposters who were using the priesthood to predate on youngsters. I blame seminaries for not expelling homosexuals in their ranks as this is by far and large a homosexual crisis in the priesthood ( 80% of the victims were teenage males). I blame the inundation of the clergy with atheists and deviants for deformation of the Church.

In Vatican 2 the Council noted that the Church of Christ subsists within the Catholic Church, not that it is the Catholic Church. And that archetype remains as unalloyed and conformed to the Mystical Body of Christ. You just have to dig through a lot of crap these days to find it. The RCC is in need of radical Reformation to its founding principles. A new Council of Trent from which it rebuilt itself after the Protestant schism is needed.

Selective quotes or inferences, probably assembled by Lawyers who stand to profit from settlements. It lacks credibility since there was no systematic, military ethnic cleansing in Canada. Such instances did occur in the U.S. though.

The Church of Christ has never been involved with genocide. It's interests are in conversion and salvation. That was its foundation on the Rock of Peter and its mission since.
