The mentally ill man found not criminally responsible for trying to kill three soldiers at a Toronto recruiting centre will be allowed to attend Mohawk College across the street from the secure psychiatric unit where he’s currently being detained, the Sun has learned.
And while Ayanle Hassan Ali will be supervised initially, the Ontario Review Board’s plan is that he will eventually be allowed to attend classes on his own over the next year.
Yet in its own reasons for decision, the board also found Ali, who suffers from schizophrenia, “still poses a significant threat to the safety of the public” and “holds some of the same delusions, that he experienced at the time of the (attack).”
He also “continues to express concerns about the Canadian government and its interactions with Muslim countries.”

So naturally, let him go to college “indirectly supervised” in just his first year since being found NCR.
How does that protect the public?
“These passes will only be granted by the hospital on a gradual basis and on a “when and if” basis Mr. Ali is ready to exercise them,” the board wrote in its decision, almost sensing the questions that should rightfully be asked.
“Otherwise, they will not be granted.”
Ali, 30, has been held in the secure forensic unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton ever since the terrifying March attack in 2016 when he burst into the North York recruiting office on Yonge St. wielding a large kitchen knife. He later told psychiatrists that he believed soldiers were a “legitimate target” due to Canada’s military action in Muslim countries.
“I have a licence to kill, I have a green light to kill,” Ali had written in his diary. “One soldier is all it takes, just one.”
According to the ORB reasons, Ali was hearing voices at the time through the TV and radio and believed he should “martyr himself.” In an initial interview after his arrest, he said he was disappointed he hadn’t been killed.
During the attack, he punched, slashed and stabbed a corporal at the entrance to the recruiting centre.
He chased a sergeant who rushed out of her office and narrowly missed slicing the back of her neck. He then tried to slash and stab at another sergeant who’d slipped and fallen to the ground.
With his first attempt, the blade hit the floor. As Ali resumed stabbing the soldier, the mentally ill man was fortunately using the wrong end of his knife.

Originally facing nine charges including attempted murder, all “for the benefit of, at the direction of or in association with a terrorist group,” Ali was acquitted in May on the terror part of the indictment after the judge found no evidence he was acting on behalf of any group. He was instead found not criminally responsible by reason of mental disorder of the lesser, included offences.

The federal Crown has appealed, arguing that a “lone wolf” acting on his own – even one who was rightfully found NCR – is still subject to Canada’s anti-terror legislation.
According to the ORB’s reasons for disposition, the Montreal-born Ali had attended UofT for a time about 10 years ago but had difficulty concentrating at university. It was about the same time his mother, who also suffers from schizophrenia, separated from his father. He was seen by a psychiatrist in 2010 or 2011 for lack of focus and concentration, but stopped taking the prescribed medication soon after. His mentally ill mother was also untreated and living with her was a “very stressful situation.”
There’s no doubt he was a very sick man. At his trial, both Crown and defence psychiatrists diagnosed Ali with schizophrenia and agreed he was in a psychotic state at the time.
Since Ali began taking medication at St. Joseph’s more than two years ago, his treating psychiatrist reports his condition has gradually improved and he’s a “kind, careful, considerate, soft spoken individual.”
And that is wonderful.
It’s the psychiatrist’s other conclusions that are worrisome: “In the doctor’s opinion, the risks that Mr. Ali poses include: (a) his Psychotic Disorder which is managed well, while he is on medication; and (b) his potential to act out on political, or radical ideas.
“There is no treatment for this.”

Abdul Aziz, Adil Khan and Qari Abdul Rauf were among the men jailed over sex crimes against teen girls in Manchester area town of Rochdale in 2012.
Since Rochdale and the smashing of a number of other grooming gangs — nearly all South Asian — the UK has done much soul-searching.

Cops, social workers and educators all turned a blind eye to the horrors in their midst in a bid to appear politically correct.

Laughably, the trio has argued the ruling has breached their human rights to a “family life.”
But senior judges torpedoed their last-ditch efforts to stay in the UK, because it was “conducive to the public good”, calling their evil endeavours “serious organized crime.”
“The victims were raped callously, viciously and violently,” Lord Justice Sales told the Court of Appeal on Wednesday.

“In some cases, they were driven round Rochdale and Oldham to be made to have sex with paying customers. All the men treated the girls as though they were worthless and beyond all respect.”

The men — eight of Pakistani origin and one from Afghanistan — fed the victims booze and drugs before “passing them” round for sex.

A convicted child killer prepares to meet his fate with a public execution in Yemen.
Three twisted pedophiles who raped and murdered a 10-year-old boy were shot dead and strung up on a crane in a shocking public execution in Yemen.
In a series of sick photos shared on social media, crowds gathered in a public square in Sana’a to witness the gruesome spectacle.
The trio had been convicted of the sex slaying of Mosad Saleh al-Mothana.
Yemeni cops forced the trio — dressed in blue overalls — to lie face down on a mat as the throng howled for blood.
The end. Three pedos convicted of the sex slaying of a boy, 10, are publicly executed in Yemen.
A police officer fired five bullets into each of the men with the aim of hitting the heart.
And when they had breathed their last, their mangled corpses were strung up on a crane for all to see — and as a warning to others.
Yemen also recently executed another child killer in public in much the same manner. Hussein al-Saket, 22, was hanged after being convicted of abducting, raping and murdering a four-year-old girl.
The victim’s uncle, Ali Ayedh, said Saket “took part in the search for the girl before being unmasked” as the real killer during the probe.
He said his public execution would act as a “deterrent for criminals.”

The leader of a doomsday Muslim cult planned an exorcism of a three-year-old boy and wanted child captives to commit mass murder at American schools.
Cops say Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 39, was among the five adults arrested when authorities raided the makeshift desert structure in Amalia, near the Colorado border.
On the “filthy” compound, they found 11 children, ages one to 15, living in squalid conditions. The mothers of the 11 children — Jany Leveille, 35, Hujrah Wahhaj, 38, and Subhannah Wahhaj, 35 — and Lucas Morton were also arrested.
Conditions in the compound were described as “filthy”. TAOS COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPT.
The children have been placed in protective custody.
One of the kids told detectives they were being trained by their captors to commit school shootings using assault rifles.
Wahhaj was wanted previous to Friday’s raid for questioning in the mysterious disappearance of his four-year-old son, Abdul-Ghani.
The fanatic’s father is a New York City imam who has been linked to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center in the Big Apple.
“[Occupants of the compound] were most likely heavily armed and considered extremist of the Muslim belief,” Taos County Sheriff Jerry Hogrefe told reporters.
According to a warrant released Monday, Wahhaj allegedly told the boy’s mother he wanted to perform an “exorcism” on his then-three-year-old son.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Wahhaj believed his son was “possessed by the Devil” because of the seizures he suffered and his inability to walk. The boy was reported missing in December.

Wahhaj and his son were last seen together about two weeks after the child was reported missing. The pair were involved in a car crash on I-65 in Alabama.
A child’s body was found on the compound but it is not yet known if it’s Wahhaj’s son.
When police arrived at the compound, Wahhaj was armed with an “AR-15 rifle, five loaded 30-round magazines, and four loaded pistols, including one in his pocket,” according to Hogrefe.

I doubt very much you will find anything in the Quran that supports living like that so why push the Muslim angle unless there is a national hate program not going on in the US as well as in all the nations that are her Allies, real and imagined.
I doubt very much you will find any support for what Christians are claiming yet the killing of innocents goes on by a group that should be rightly called 'false Christians'. When that fails to surface you have to wonder who is really driving the bus. They would seem to be the ones that are hate filled and intent on causing as much chaos as they can. That's fine but having them pointed out for doing just that is also fine and the ones affected by the lies and distortions will catch on and get tired of it and start to ignore the one that dries up and blows away if they cannot command center stage.

LONDON — A Muslim convert pleaded guilty Friday to plotting an Islamic State group-inspired van attack on crowds in London’s busy Oxford Street shopping district.
During a hearing at London’s Central Criminal Court, Lewis Ludlow admitted preparing acts of terrorism and fundraising for the militant group.
Prosecutors say the 26-year-old wrote down his attack plans, saying Oxford Street was an “ideal” target because it was busy and “it is expected nearly 100 could be killed.”
Police found the notes ripped up in a garbage bin and pieced them together. Ludlow’s list of “potential attack sites” also included the Madame Tussauds wax museum, St Paul’s Cathedral and a Shia temple in Romford, east London.
Evidence recovered from Lewis’s phone included a video of him swearing allegiance to IS and pictures of crowded areas, which prosecutors said were taken during “hostile reconnaissance.”
Ludlow, from Rochester in southern England, was stopped at Heathrow Airport in February as he tried to board a flight to the Philippines, where prosecutors say he planned to join IS militants. They say he later plotted to attack London, and allegedly set up a Facebook account called Antique Collections as a front to send money to militants in the Philippines.
Lewis, who was arrested on April 18, admitted preparing terrorist acts and funding terrorism.

KABUL, Afghanistan — The Latest on developments in Afghanistan after a surge in Taliban attacks (all times local):
11:30 a.m.
The spokesman for the Defense Ministry in Kabul says the Taliban have overrun a military base in northern Afghanistan, killing 17 soldiers and wounding at least 19 troops.
Ghafor Ahmad Jawed says the insurgents overrun the base late on Monday night in Faryab province, in the district of Ghormach, after besieging it for three days.
The local provincial council chief, Mohammad Tahir Rahmani, says 43 troops were killed and wounded in the attack but didn't give a breakdown.
He says the Taliban attack succeeded in taking control of the base, known as Camp Chinaya, which housed about 140 Afghan troops.
Rahmani says the base fell to the Taliban after the soldiers resisted the three-day onslaught. He says they didn't get any reinforcements and ran out of ammunition, food and water.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack in Faryab. He says 57 Afghan soldiers surrendered to the Taliban while 17 others were captured in battle. He says eight military Humvees were seized.

Afghan officials say security forces have pushed back the Taliban from Ghazni and are now trying to flush the insurgents from the city's outskirts.
The operations come on the fifth day after a massive Taliban attack on the provincial capital of Ghazni.
Hundreds of people have fled the fighting in Ghazni, which has killed about 100 members of the Afghan security forces and at least 20 civilians.
Nasart Rahimi, a deputy spokesman at the Interior Ministry, says security forces were searching every inch of Ghazni for Taliban fighters on Tuesday.
Abdul Karim Arghandiwal, an army media officer in southeastern Afghanistan, says military helicopters are supporting the ground forces' operations in Ghazni.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid denies the insurgents have been routed from Ghazni and says sporadic gunbattles are still ongoing.

LONDON — British authorities said they are considering turning the area around Parliament into a pedestrian zone to prevent future vehicle attacks as police searched three properties for clues about the motivation of a man who plowed into cyclists and pedestrians.

Local media on Wednesday identified the suspect as Salih Khater, a 29-year-old British citizen of Sudanese origin. Police searched the suspect’s apartment in Birmingham, as well as another property in the city and a third in Nottingham. A Facebook page for a man of the same name says he lives in Birmingham, works as a shop manager, and has studied at Sudan University of Science and Technology.
British authorities do not name suspects until they are formally charged.
The incident was the second in less than 18 months in which a suspected terrorist used a vehicle to attack the heart of Britain’s government. Over the past two decades authorities have tightened security around Parliament with fences, crash barriers and armed police. Now the rise of vehicle attacks around the world is triggering calls for traffic to be barred from the area.
“So some of the things we’re keen to do, working with the Palace of Westminster, working with the council and the experts, is to part-pedestrianize that part of Parliament Square immediately outside the gates to Parliament, but at the same time making it attractive,” London Mayor Sadiq Khan told the BBC.
While such a project presents challenges, Khan said, “it’s possible to have a design solution that meets the objectives … in relation to keeping our buildings and our people as safe as we can do, but also not losing what’s wonderful about our city which is a vibrant democracy.”
Police on Tuesday flooded the streets around the iconic gothic Parliament buildings and cordoned off the area that attracts tourists as well as lawmakers after a speeding car plowed into cyclists and crashed into a barrier outside the House of Lords. Police are treating the incident as a terrorist attack.
It was the fourth vehicle attack in Britain — and the second on Parliament — in less than 18 months.
“The priority for the investigation team is to understand the full circumstances and motivation behind this incident,” the Metropolitan Police Service said in a statement.

Two different scenario's the same CEO will shake hands when it is a one on one it is a sign of respect in the working world
It is the words that come out of our mouths that will determine what direction things go. I prefer my handshakes to mean something. Telling me I will not get the job is not one of them, perhaps at the 10 year anniversary would be acceptable.
