3-minute warning come and gone.......Stamps with the ball on their own 9-yard line.........2 and 7....Flag......IP on Calgary will push them back another 5.........2 and 12.........OMG.............Mitchell just hit Jorden with a dilly of a to BC's 43........Flag......OS on Calgary and back another 10........1 and 20.......they got 8 back....12 to go...and Morris gets them the D and more........Daniels drops the ball in the end zone.........2 and 10........#80 gets them up to the 3 yard line..........1rst and goal.........Morris gets to the 1........2 and goal.........Arbuckle goes over for the TD with :27 minutes left in the half. Paredes drills the goal post and it's a no-go on the convert.

Finally ...............BC gets a TD after their last dismal attempt - 3 tries, basically at the 1 yard line and they couldn't get it over ......but this time - gold. They now trail the Stamps by 8 points...closing the gap they are......though Travis still needs a bit of adjustment considering that pass he threw that hit goal post. :roll:

4:33 in the 4th.......BC just got their 2nd TD of the game........converts good and they now trail by 10........make that 9 as the Stamps conceded a point when the punt went into the end zone.

Discipline is a HUGE problem with this team, Kreskin........on top of everything else.

3-minute warning given.....Stumps have the ball and a 1rst D..........but they have to punt away when the BC D slams the door on Bo and throws him to the ground......heh, heh, heh...BC fails to get the D they need and turn-over the ball on 3 and 2 and I would think that the game is over for the Lions.............and it's 7 straight wins for the Stamps. Since 2011 Calgary has won 100 games and lost 30. Bo surpassed Warren Moons record for completions tonight.


Final Score: BC 18 - Calgary 27

Well, well, well............Johnny Football came to play and so far............so good. The Al's lead at the half by 4 points. Grant it a lot of yards were gained on the ground by Sutton, Montreal was the beneficiary of a TD thanks to a TO, and the RBs have committed 4 of them.....but Johnny hasn't thrown an interception and his passes have been on the money. Hopefully Montreal will be able to come out of this with a MUCH needed win ............still, we've got a full half of football to go.

The RBs got on the scoreboard in the 3rd with a 101 yard TD drive but Montreal came right back - thanks in large to two great 1rst D runs by Johnny - for another TD and they are once again in the lead 16 - 11 with just over 5 to go in the 3rd.

WTF? I just heard that Carter was released by the Riders.

I have no idea what Jones is up to, Kreskin. BTW, I was quite happy to see BC beat the Esks the other night - good on them.

Saskatchewan Roughriders release star receiver Duron Carter

Duron Carter’s tenure with the Saskatchewan Roughriders ended Saturday with the stunning news that the veteran receiver/defensive back had been released.

The Riders announced Carter’s release via email on Saturday evening. Chris Jones, the Riders’ head coach and general manager, is expected to meet with the media on Sunday morning at Mosaic Stadium to discuss Carter’s release.

Saskatchewan is on its second of three bye weeks and isn’t scheduled to resume practising until Wednesday. The Riders’ next game is Aug. 19 when they play host to the Calgary Stampeders.

My sister is lobbying hard for me to move back to Saskatchewan as she is worried that one of these summers I'll end up burned to a crisp. That's hardly likely to happen but still, I am considering the move simply because neither of us is getting any younger and we'd love to spend our declining years closer to each other.
