The 'useless tit cloth' is what most politicians are made of. Can't make it in the real world, . . . enter politics.

I've been wondering if Ford is possibly a little too set in his ways and thinking to be a good Premier. Maybe better than the other end of the spectrum being a "fart in a mitten" like young Justin! :)

It seems that Doug is cutting Toronto City Council in half to settle old scores with a City Council who scorned him in a city that most emphatically DID NOT vote for him in either a mayoral or Provincial election. He claims to be doing it to save money (to another level of government, mind, and not his own) but he has singled out Toronto specifically for the treatment. There are a good dozen good sized cities in Ontario and nary a peep about those. Like with Trump, it's all about Doug.

Oooh, oooh……………...mustn't say anything negative about anyone/thing that has a connection to the Tories or Walter will be in high dudgeon! (A "red" here will confirm) :)

I'm generally much in favour of reducing the size of Gov't. BUT getting some input from the Gov't. getting cut isn't a bad idea too. I think Ford is testing his muscle! (maybe the one in his head) I'd guess Trump is a hell of a lot smarter than Ford. (IF you can compare them)

While it may well be that the Toronto Council needs to be "cutback" but he should consult the citizens of the city before doing so. As it is, he's just looks like he's being vengeful rather than pro-actively trying to reduce expenditures for the citizens of the city. No matter what is reasoning is, it needs to be thought out and done in a procedural manner otherwise, even if he does a world of good overall over the years, he will always look like a bully if he doesn't consult on major decisions. We need good leadership and one that isn't construed as bullying.

Mind you, it doesn't take much to be called one now-a-days LOL

One method of cutting back on expenses that will never be mentioned is that in this day and age we do not need two or more layers of government, Federal or Provincial but not both. If the telephone ever stops working the we can go back to two bodies whose job is exactly the same.
