It is worth noting that although Washington state has legalized weed, border crossing are not state run - they are run federally and more and more Canadians are being stopped at the border and detained on minor charges.

I don't quite understand why anyone would want to enter the USA, but if you do have your ducks in a row. They will know everything there is to know about you, so be ready to explain that possession charge that the RCMP erased from your record. Homeland Security still has it.

There are several good reasons to enter the US if you live near the boarder.. no carbon scam tax on gas and much cheaper food are but two of them.
