TORONTO — The strongest opposition to including issues such as gender equality in discussions over the North American Free Trade Agreement has come not from the United States but from within Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Monday.

Speaking during a question and answer session at the first Toronto edition of the Women in the World conference, the prime minister said his government has faced hurdles in adding a gender chapter to NAFTA as it did in a free trade deal with Chile.
“The pushback we’re getting is actually not from south of the border, the pushback we’re getting is from Canadian Conservatives, who said ‘Oh no this is about economics, it’s about jobs... it’s not about rhetorical flourishes of being good on environment or being good on gender,”’ Trudeau said.
(I suggest that the value of the “gender chapter” negotiated with Chile might not be worth the paper it is printed on! That gender chapter is as useful and valid as the Paris Accord that is so beloved of Our idiot Boy- in spite of the Paris Accord being entirely voluntary and with NO mechanism in place to verify whatever virtue signalling nonsense that signers of the Accord chose to spew later on!)

(Trudope has also positioned himself as a silver spoon socialist with a DANGEROUS fondness for Cdn legislation that turns free speech- meaning Cdn criticism of ANY LIE-beral policy- into Hate Crime - at the whim of a LIE-beral appointed judge in a Human Rights Kangaroo court that operates WITHOUT bothering with standard rules of evidence as would be the case in any other kind of criminal trial!)
But he told the conference Monday that despite his government’s efforts to bolster the ranks of women in politics, retention has proven a challenge, in large part due to the vitriol aimed at female politicians.
(Clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson has spoken on this issue of retention of upper echelon females- and he states it is simply due to women not wanting to be bothered working 70- 90 hours per week- so they skip the upper level jobs! Numbers produced by Ontari-owe health ministry bear out Peterson`s claim- as the number of female doctors rises- the number of hours actually worked by doctors has dropped as female doctors feel more desire to be home with family- and balance work and home life more smoothly than male doctors! Such home life balance is good for women doctors but it is bad for Ontari-owe as we now need many more doctors to get the same level of service!)
Trudeau said it is his goal to tackle the “hidden attitudes” that lead to inequity but stressed the matter won’t be resolved during his tenure -- rather, it will take generations.
(The most important hidden attitudes that need to be addressed are the ones related to Trudope family loyalty and admiration for dictators and despots! Pierre Trudope heaped fawning praise on Chinese Chairman Mao for “his genius in rushing thirty million Chinese to the gallows” during the “Great Leap Forward”! Our idiot Boy praises Chinese leaders for “the way they get things done”! And Sacha Trudope has told us that Cuban Soviet dictator Castro was the greatest South American leader of the 20th century and much superior to any merely elected leader”! Sacha has also collaborated with Iranian propaganda makers in producing films that are anti Yankee and anti Israel! Trudope family values are oriented towards despots! Even worse Our idiot Boy Justin has worked HARD to splinter and paralyze our parliament with his electoral reform crap! The idiot Boy wants our parliament paralyzed using multiple splinter groups and turned into a spending machine that cannot be turned OFF- as has happened in Italy and Greece!)
The Liberal government recently tabled a federal budget that promised to consider the way programs and policies impact different genders in different ways.
(In other words LIE-berals are looking for ways to BUY the votes of gullible Cdn women!)
But the government is also facing criticism over the troubled national inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, with some families calling for a complete reboot of the process.
(The Murdered and Missing Inquiry is nothing more than a cynical LIE-beral virtue signalling propaganda piece designed to gather native votes- too bad natives actually thought LIE-berals would present something new- so now the mess is stewing in its own poisoned and quite bigoted political juices!)
When asked about the controversy during Monday’s talk, Trudeau admitted there were some difficulties but said the process was “on the right track.”
