The Liberals are still stuck with one foot in the swamp.

An Orange Wave? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Way too many people remember Bob (BOOB!) Rae and his Rae Days! And now we have LIE-bwerals pulling the same Ndp/Rae trick- trying to make us rich with BORROWED MONEY! Jag Singh has nothing to offer us and neither does Horvath- except Rae Days Part Two!

As western civilization faces open war with the forces of radical Islam and as our society spirals ever deeper into debt- this article illustrates the depths into which national political debate and analysis have sunk under LIE-beral and NDP guidance. With some comments of my own in brackets):

New NDP leader Jagmeet Singh challenges Trudeau with luscious mane: 'I have more hair, it’s longer and it’s nicer'.

THE CANADIAN PRESS. FIRST POSTED: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2017 04:50 PM EDT | UPDATED: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2017 04:58 PM EDT

ALMA, Que. — Newly minted federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says the hair nestled tightly under his turban is real and it’s spectacular.

(And WHO CARES about his hair? Being a Sikh means dealing with a RELIGIOUS edict that forbids Sikhs from showing a bare head in public- so he will be a SINNER if he has a “hair off” with Our idiot Boy Justin! Frankly most Cdns are far more concerned with the point blank refusal of Singh to condemn the views of the people who think the Air India terror bombing of 20 years back was a good tactical idea!)

During a trip to Quebec’s Saguenay region Tuesday ahead of a federal byelection later this month, Singh said he’s sometimes asked what’s under his Sikh religious headwear.

(Two things are under Jag`s turban- firstly his hair- which he is forbidden to show or to cut- hence the turban to hide and control the mop- and a head full of sawdust- as befits a leader of the NDP- the party of numbskulls, dorks and poltroons! Bob Rae- the most clever and cunning of NDP leaders persuaded the people of Ontari-owe that he could make them rich if only they would elect him! Sadly, the banks would not play along and refused to loan the numbskull enough money to make us “rich”- or at least enough that we could pretend to be rich till the loans came due! Things got so bad that Rae was forced to create his notorious “Rae Days” in which govt sent home civil service Hogs for unpaid days off as govt was STONEY BROKE! )

His response appeared to challenge Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to a sort of hair-off.

Singh wears a turban in public to hide what he referred to as his luscious mane.

The turban has been the subject of controversy since he ran for his party’s leadership due to it being a potential liability in the fiercely secular province of Quebec.

“Sometimes, people ask me, what’s inside your turban? And I say: ’A lot of hair!”’ he said in Alma, about 250 kilometres north of Quebec City.

“I have very long hair. And I will show it. But I want to decide when I can do it in an interesting way.” He mentioned he had already revealed his hair on the CBC comedy, the “Rick Mercer Report.”

Singh ended the hair-talk with a sort of challenge to Trudeau, although he didn’t directly name the prime minister, who has received international recognition for what is considered to be a gorgeous do.

“People have talked about someone else’s hair,” he said to laughter. “I have more hair, it’s longer and it’s nicer.”

The Lac-Saint-Jean riding was held by former Conservative Denis Lebel and the byelection is scheduled for Oct. 23.

(Little wonder that both LIE-beral and NDP leaders are both most famous for their hair as being their best features- they are playing to their strengths! Sadly, their intellectual prowess, understanding of economics and defence of free speech and democracy leave us utterly UNDERWHELMED!)

A Mouse Once Bit My Sister
My own personal conspiracy theory leaves me thinking that the price of oil is going to drop significantly.

It was only 3 or 4 months ago that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia locked up all the billionaires in the country and demanded funds from them because the country needed money.

And just a few days ago, Saudi Arabia is on a buying spree for billions and billions worth of weapons.

I am thinking that Saudi Arabia will agree to keep the price of oil low in order to further damage the Russian economy and in return, Saudi Arabia will get all the weapons it wants for free.

And the Canadian economy will pay the price.

The price of oil will remain a function of the global demand.

Despite the games that get played, like when the Saudis wanted to impede shale oil/gas and moved to lower the price.

That said, until there is a viable option, there is no other game in town

Hi! Captain Morgan

Regarding "Global Demand" and/or "Market Economy" .....

Can you list me any single solitary "Pricing" index which has not been found to have been manipulated and shown to be a fraud?

Even the Rating Agencies which are the very heart or the very center crux of the Capitalist system have been proven to be a total fraud.

Trudeau’s carbon caper: To get the premiers to agree to ‘carbon pricing’, the PM changed what it means

By Lorrie Goldstein, Toronto Sun. First posted: Saturday, March 05, 2016 01:49 PM EST. Updated: Saturday, March 05, 2016 01:54 PM EST

The only way Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was able to get Canada’s 13 premiers and territorial leaders to agree to carbon pricing last week was to render the term meaningless.

Carbon pricing means carbon taxes, cap-and-trade, or government regulations, all of which put a price on industrial greenhouse gas emissions linked to climate change when oil, coal or natural gas are burned to produce energy.

But at Thursday’s meeting in Vancouver between Trudeau and his provincial and territorial counterparts, carbon pricing became whatever any premier wanted it to be.

For example, carbon capture and storage, buying hydro power instead of coal-fired electricity, or subsidizing “green energy”.

(Which means that with a little LIE-beral style “truth” Doug Ford CAN cancel our carbon crap and trade! He has only to point to the vast sums of money Wynne-bag LIE-berals have dumped into our mouldy green energy sector! Fors can even point to the “bio-mass” fueled generation station in Thunder Bay- converted to burn bio-mass meaning garbage- at a cost TWENTY FIVE TIMES HIGHER than other forms of generation- with the fuel shipped in from Europe ay huge carbon cost!)

Trudeau didn’t get what he wanted, given his public statements during and after the federal election.

That was unanimous agreement from the premiers and territorial leaders to set a minimum national carbon price of so many dollars per tonne of emissions.

For example, B.C.’s carbon tax started at $10 per tonne in 2008 and is now $30. Alberta is setting its carbon tax at $20 per tonne in 2017, rising to $30 in 2018. Ontario is predicting a carbon price of $17 to $18 per tonne when it launches its cap-and-trade program next year.

(Oh! A FIFTY PERCENT RISE in carbon crap price in Alberta in one year? So much for the 2 percent inflation rate govt is supposedly shooting for! NO WONDER the Alberta economy is slowly improving- all those civil service union Hogs now have the cash to splurge in restaurants and bars, have new money for hotel stays and for nice vacations! And all that BORROWED money is also helping Hogs have fun! And Hogs now have LOTS of money to fuel their assorted gas guzzling toys- all those ski-doos and sea-doos and atv`s and huge motor boats and to heat their second homes- the luxury cabins in the country where they go to play with the gas guzzling toys and now they can easily afford to fly to Florida in jet planes for golf and jet planes are the most fuel hungry machines in the land!)

(But wait- wasnt the carbon crap and trade supposed to REDUCE carbon fuel usage? Looks to me as if carbon crap and trade is simply making it even easier for greedy Hogs to maintain their already record breaking carbon foot print! LIE-berals are VERY GENEROUS- to their friends!)

By contrast, the only mention of “carbon pricing” in the so-called Vancouver Declaration agreed to by Trudeau and the provincial and territorial leaders, was as one of four areas their governments will study for six months before meeting again.

Even that’s limited to exploring, “carbon pricing mechanisms adapted to each province’s and territory’s specific circumstances and in particular the realities of Canada’s Indigenous peoples and Arctic and sub-Arctic regions.”

That’s not setting a national carbon price. It’s what you say to paper over differences when you can’t set one.

(And with Saskatchewan now refusing to play the carbon crap game, the cracks in LIE-beral policy are widening! Saskatchewan is being hit with reduced federal transfer payments for refusing to play along with carbon crap- but one has to wonder who is being blamed by voters in this? Do they blame their provincial leaders for refusing to slavishly implement that carbon tax that only benefits Ottawa and Hogs? Or do Saskatchewan voters give their leaders the credit for refusing the carbon gouging? And with Ontari-owe leaning towards probably electing a leader who will also refuse to collect carbon crap taxes- it will put even more pressure on Our idiot Boy Justin to either back off or to raise the stakes and punish us- just before the federal 2019 election- and even as his former support is ALREADY badly ERODED! The sunny ways of Our idiot leader are growing truly stormy!)

It ignores the fact time is already running out on the national emission reduction targets Trudeau has set for Canada, which used to be Stephen Harper’s targets.

(Yes- hypocrite LIE-berals sneered at Harper for his carbon policy and now LIE- berals are themselves FAILING- but they ARE getting that nice new gravy- and feeding Hog supporters is the main LIE-beral focus anyway!)

For Trudeau to meet his target of reducing Canada’s annual emissions to 17% below 2005 levels by 2020, Canada will have to lower them by at least 127 megatonnes (Mt) annually, the equivalent of shutting down all of our electricity sector (85 Mt) plus half of the building sector (43 Mt), in less than five years.

To meet Trudeau’s target of reducing emissions to 30% below 2005 levels by 2030, Canada will have to lower its annual emissions by at least 241 Mt, the equivalent of shutting down all of Canada’s oil and gas sector (179 Mt), plus most of the agriculture sector (75 Mt) in less than 15 years.

(Trudope knew all this before signing onto the useless Paris Accords! This is LIE-beral policy in the raw! It is nothing but feel good announcements that go nowhere and it is feeding dirty back room deals that ONLY benefit LIE-beral pals!)

Now consider that B.C.’s widely praised, revenue neutral carbon tax of $30 per tonne is predicted to reduce that province’s emissions by only 3 Mt annually by 2020.

Confronted with these figures, we can see what Trudeau’s real strategy was in Vancouver.

It was to establish a process to make it look like Canada is meeting its international climate change obligations, as Trudeau promised at the UN climate meeting in Paris in December.

This as opposed to actually meeting his targets for Canada. Trudeau isn’t the only leader to pull this bait-and-switch.

So is U.S. President Barack Obama, who failed to set a national carbon price for America during his two terms in office in a country where emissions are rising again after falling briefly in the aftermath of the 2008 recession.

That’s the same thing that happened in Canada. Proof that for all the political talk about making emissions go down, they’re really going up.

(LIE-berals keep on telling us that driving is a privilege- but try telling that to anybody living in a city with limited or no public transit! How will people get to or from night shift work if public transit shuts down at 9pm? How will people who must do 2 or 3 part time jobs get from one location to another on time if they cannot drive? I recall working briefly with a guy who had 2 part time jobs and the scheduling required that he be awake once a week- every week- for 36 hours straight- and who wants to be out on a road with that drowsy TAXI driver?)

(What of all the jobs that are now ONLY OFFERED by Employment Agencies- and most of them will not even take your name UNLESS you have a car and can appear swiftly when they want you- only on short notice! With many employment agencies you MUST either drive or get lost! And at the same time LIE-beral pals are ramping up their use of gas guzzling toys! Its lose/lose under carbon crap and trade scam- much higher costs for everything and an INCREASED use of fossil fuel by Hogs!)

Only 12 agreed to the Carbon Tax. Saskatchewan is out.

Yes- and after Doug Ford takes over then Ontari-owe will also be out of the carbon crap and trade garbage as well!

Here is an article illustrating the poisoned nature of the LIE-beral party policy on environmental issues. With some comments of my own in brackets):

The fight against carbon taxes is the policy fight of our lives

By Candice Malcolm. Published: February 15, 2018. Updated: February 15, 2018 12:57 PM EST

Filed Under: Toronto SUN/ Opinion/ Columnists

The fight against a national carbon tax is the policy fight of our lifetime. Every taxpayer in the country, and especially every conservative who believes in the principle of limited government, should do everything they can to stop this devastating tax grab.

Make no mistake, the carbon tax initiative is not about protecting the planet. It isn’t designed to lower pollution levels, enable so-called green innovation or even to curb carbon emissions.

The carbon tax is designed to give the government more power, more money and more top-down control over the economy.

(LIE-berals have modelled their carbon crap and trade scam on the now 14 year old and thoroughly disgraced European carbon crap version that only cleans wallets and leaves the dirt in the air! The European model is riddled with false reporting of emissions, stock market scams and swindles set up by organized crime and spiced with forged carbon credit documents being created regularly for fun and profit! In other news- LIE-berals are quietly admitting that not only will they MISS their Paris Accord emission reduction targets- the reality is that emissions are GOING UP- rather than down as LIE-berals had planned! OOPSIE!)

Carbon tax advocates, including a handful of misguided conservatives, typically rely on one core argument to promote this tax. They say that carbon taxes use free market principles to change consumer behaviour so that we consume less and produce fewer emissions.

If carbon is more expensive, it will encourage you to drive less or to put on a sweater instead of turning up the heat. The problem with this line of reasoning is that it requires a tax rate drastically higher than anything being discussed or proposed today.

(This policy IGNORES various real world issues- such as: We MUST heat our homes or the pipes will freeze- we can modestly reduce our thermostats and many of us DID that years ago- but we CANNOT shut heat off! Many Cdns live in places with little or no public transit and these people WILL continue to drive- no car equals no work in many communities! And what of women who work late shifts and who insist on driving because they do not feel safe on public transit late at night thanks to our LIE-beral hug a thug judges! Our “feminist” prime minister has more sympathy for the convicts having their cases plea bargained so major crimes become minor ones and minor ones are forgotten- than he has for women afraid on the street or public buses! LIE-beral style policy bigotry poisons standard market forces and prevents them from functioning as expected!)

(LIE-berals have promised vast new pension contributions to civil service union Hogs in exchange for their votes and this new flow of carbon crap tax cash will ensure that more gravy flows to Sunshine List Hogs- so they can maintain their vast carbon footprint from their many gas guzzling toys: riding lawn mowers that spew more carbon in 5 minutes than a modern car running on a highway for 30 minutes, huge motor boats with twin 600 hp engines- just stand on the shore of Georgian Bay on a warm Sunday afternoon with little wind and listen to how far the engine racket echoes across the water- its LOUDER than 401! Then add in atv`s, sea-doos and ski-doos. Then add filthy 2 stroke weed whackers and leaf blowers! Then consider that most dirty of all toys: commercial airplanes! Cdn Geographic magazine told us that in the 9 months after the 9/11 terror attack- during which time 25 percent of the world airline fleet was grounded- there WAS a measurable improvement in air quality across the globe! It is union pigs flying that is a MAJOR cause of air pollution!)

(We DO need to heat and light our homes and work places- but Hogs will not die if they don’t get to fly to Florida or Bahamas in February for golf! Especially when you look at the environmental train wreck that is a standard golf course!)

The EcoFiscal Commission, an Ottawa-based organization that supports a carbon tax, admits the carbon tax rate would need to be significantly higher to have a real impact.

Trudeau’s carbon tax was introduced in 2018 at a rate of $10 per tonne, and yet, EcoFiscal economists project that even if carbon taxes were raised to $200 per tonne it still would not be enough to meet Trudeau’s target of cutting emissions by 30% by 2030.

(Other analysts tell us the Cdn Paris Accord emission levels would require so drastic an economic reduction in activity that most of the country would be rendered uninhabitable! NO MORE FARMING! Virtually no electricity production- with HUGE reductions in industrial activity! WE MUST heat our homes and we MUST have profitable work but we DO NOT need to endure Sunshine List Hogs robbing us blind so they can continue spewing their major carbon footprint! But LIE-berals desperately NEED those Hog votes so LIE-beral will pick our pockets and PRETEND they are doing good for the environment!)

Even if Trudeau’s tax was 2,000% higher, it still would not be enough.

(AS the Russians proved: you can drastically reduce carbon emissions- BUT ONLY if you are prepared to destroy your economy! Russia- with its 180 million people and chronic alcohol, drug and massive crime problems, coupled with an average life span that has BEEN REDUCED by a good 10 years- currently has a smaller gross domestic product than Canada. The Russian environmental “solution” WILL NOT FLY in Canada! For one thing- union Hogs would bring down the LIE-beral govt in a coup the moment the flow of gravy was halted that way!)

A $200-a-tonne carbon tax would, however, take more than $100 billion out of the private sector and into the coffers of the government.

A massive transfer of wealth away from the innovative, creative and productive part of the economy, and towards a growing government bureaucracy will not help the planet. Instead, it will enable a massive tax grab designed to forever increase the size and scope of the government.

(Much of our current massive debt is in the form of incredible LIE-beral IOU`s promised to Hogs! To offer them even more gravy will destroy our economy!)

We’ve seen this movie before. In the 1980s and `90s, the GST was introduced and sold to Canadians as a “more efficient tax.” Big government activists designed the tax intentionally to appeal to free market conservatives and economists.

(The principle is typical of LIE-beral thinking- start with a logical thought and blow it up into madness! The basic idea is sound- if you spend less then you pay less GST. The trouble comes with what govt DOES with the GST cash- if it was used to pay down some of our massive debt then okay- but instead its being used by LIE-berals to BUY votes- from Hogs and votes from natives and other ethnic groups who hate white people- all that tax money is used simply so LIE-berals can cling to power at any price- and to hell with Cdn future! LIE-berals think they are immune to the financial messes they are making!)

They made the argument that people should be taxed on the things they consume rather than the income they earn. And yes, in theory, the optimal tax wouldn’t punish people for working more, but rather, would tax people when they spend rather than save their money.

Of course, the big lie in all of this is that the federal government never planned to introduce a corresponding cut to income taxes. Instead, we’re stuck with both a punitive consumption tax and a punitive income tax. They take our money when we earn it and they take our money when we spend it.

(Cdns consistently pay the highest aggregate total of taxes of any G20 country!)

And now, the same brigade of government-knows-best activists have schemed together to introduce another version of the GST, wrapped up as the green, eco-friendly, think-of-the-planet carbon tax.

And worse, by selling this as a market-friendly measure they’ve managed to persuade some otherwise dedicated conservatives.

It doesn’t matter who promotes this idea. Whether it’s coming from Preston Manning, Patrick Brown, Justin Trudeau or Rachel Notley, a carbon tax is not what it seems, and it’s not the right path for Canada.

Canadians from coast to coast should unite in fighting against it.

(Killing the carbon crap and trade scam is NOT about ignoring the environment- rather- it is about compelling govt to make HONEST AND EFFECTIVE steps to curb greenhouse gas emissions- while at the same time saving some of our economy from being taxed into oblivion!)

I wouldn't object to a 1% royalty hike at the well head with a direct shift into an infrastructure fund.

Then I'm happy because I have efficent movement and greenbeans can be happy with the reduced emissions from efficient infrastructure.

I sure do. We have the money to hit the targets set. Why do we need Ottawa to tax us and take half, and give the rest back?

Because you like to think you're getting a rebate! It's like when you pay $20,000 in taxes, but get $350 back, you think you've won! It's a liberal dose of feel good.

It's difficult for the government to get high income earners to lend money. It's diversified and the government can't at all of it. On the other hand, low income earners don't have much of a choice.

I used to tell people on lower or fixed incomes to use the government as a savings acct. You won't make any interest on your money, but for things like property taxes or toys like trailers or vacations, have an extra bit of money deducted from your taxes. You are forced to save, and you get it back in the spring.

Depending on your income, even an extra $25/mo will get you $300 more at income tax time. Doing so removes the temptation to spend it by having the government hold it for you.

My uncle was on a fixed income. I got him to do this and he used to go to Florida for a couple of weeks every year. He had an additional 3% taken from his taxes, or about $55 dollars a month. His gross was about $22,000/yr. That 3%, or about $660, allowed him and a friend to drive to Florida, towing an 18 ft trailer. They split the cost and escaped the cold for a few weeks.

It's a solid way to stop wasteful personal spending.

Today, payroll departments have software that does much of their work. Perhaps they do not know how to program it to perform out of the norm.
