By 2025 the world will be off gasoline almost entirely.

Then bitumen can stay in Alberta forever just as it should.

If you are still alive in 2025 ,you will still be driving a gas guzzler .

Okay, let’s get one thing straight here gasoline only makes up a fraction of oil production.

Medicine and medical devices that rely on plastic, clothes, cellular devices, the computer you’re using, most of the cars interior, the uses of plastics in our every day life rely on oil.

The production of oil will never cease, nor will it’s demand.

I’m all for green tech for alternative fuel, but be real... we need oil.

IMO, a pipeline from coast to coast should have happened decades ago. The dumbass leftard canadians lack insight to think that we should settle with just a railroad and highway.

...and the BC Highway is a joke.. not even twinned.. just a skinny road.

We should have had a good road like I-90 in Idaho/ Montana long ago connecting Vancouver to Alberta.

Gasoline drives all oil production.

Its other uses are tertiary.

Once gasoline is removed from the equation about 75% of the oil being produced is no longer going to be needed.

Btw this is a good thing but is also why Kinder Morgan/Alberta is so anxious to get that pipeline through and sell as much of this horrible shit as possible before the shut down.

Bitumen is going to be the first oil to get shut down.

BC would go broke in minutes.

Not if we cut off welfare for parasites and make protesting economic activity ileagal.

Better add another 100 years to that sunshine.

You got a lot to learn about everrything. Gasoline is a byproduct. Even kerosene is more valuable.

Ok you take all the profits from kerosene and I'll take all the profits from gasoline and you can educate all of us on economics.

Hoid, it’s the other way around gasoline makes up a fraction of the equation.

The main use or 75% is not for automobiles but rather diesel fuel, jet fuel and heating oil.

OK

When the demand for gasoline dries let me know what happens to all that other shit.

https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=327&t=9

n 2016, refineries in the United States produced an average of about 20 gallons of motor gasoline and about 11 gallons of ultra-low sulfur distillate fuel oil (most of which is sold as diesel fuel and in several states as heating oil) from one 42-gallon barrel of crude oil. Many other petroleum products are also refined from crude oil. Refinery yields of individual products vary from month to month as refiners focus operations to meet demand for different products and as they work to maximize profits.

Well all that diesel fuel helps to get the crap you buy at the store to your community, like the not so important stuff such as food, medication and so on

When you stop eating, let me know..

Sorta like what I have on now, a load of pork. ;)

Your average run-of-the-mill ecoweenie doesn't have the cognitive capacity to string together that kind of logic.

The gasoline that is refined from a bbl of oil pays for everything. Everything else is just gravy. Without the gas money oil is going to become a big problem, because whatever else they use it for will have to increase in cost in order to keep the profits flowing.

So good luck with oil. It's going to get ugly.

Ha, ha! Flossy is getting upset that Alberta controls his life. It sucks not to have much to rely on, doesn't it, Flossy?

I think it would be easier for Alberta to buy BC and evict the troublemakers.
