the U.S. is turning itself into a powerful magnet for corporate investment that might have gone elsewhere.

The new dividend exemption regime saves multinationals from paying U.S. corporate tax on foreign profits brought back to the U.S. Some US$2.5 trillion in profits belonging to American firms currently sits parked in foreign subsidiaries. That can be brought home to boost investment and equity values. So we’ll see significant dividend flows out of foreign countries to the U.S. just as corporate debt is flowing the other way,

from the U.S.

We'll see how it goes. For every action there's an equal and opposite reaction.

I doubt many corps will bring their money home anytime soon. Or if they do it will flow to shareholders instead of being reinvested just in case the worst case scenario of democrats winning the next election and promptly steal it.

He’s made re-tooling manufacturing very easy with major changes in that as well

the most important tax change are the reduction in the corporate income-tax rate, the ability to expense investments in machinery and equipment (rather than amortize them),

Some of that will happen of course. Shareholders are investing and they should get a little bit back.

If the Democrats "steal it" back as you say it will be in the form of the biggest tax hike in decades... then it will be their turn to get flushed out.

This is all cyclical. Conservatives understand that, Liberals do not. They believe when they have a good night at the polls that they have won those seats forever. That explains the rage and fury when they lose them a cycle or two later.

I assume the taxation was meant to discourage corps from investing offshore. Now it won't matter where money goes to.

Fake News...

The middle class won’t have any money to spend after they have given the corporations a free ride on the backs of the middle class..

The dotar (Trump) is only helping his buddies.. the USA is like Rome, in a downward spiral after it had a good run..

The middle class just got fed to The lions

Honest Abe needs to revise his quote; “Government of the Corporation, by the Corporation, for the Corporation, shall tax the shit out of the middle class so to give Corporate welfare tax breaks to the rich 1%”

Well I guess you’re one of those folks that don’t earn more than $20,000 a year, so I can see why you’re happy.

I guess you're one of those folks who gets all of their information from the Alt-Left and do not have a clue on what this Tax Break is other than it will be a victory for Trump.

*snicker*

You probably live in public housing too... a real social leach.

Salty Salty Salty!

How is the diet FAT BOY? I saw that photo with you flashing your gun. What a POT BELLIED PIG you are!

Maybe you should spend less time on Cc and more time finding a job.. welfare isn’t a career, it’s supposed to be temporary..

Even Canuck found a job, at a bottle recycling depot.. there is hope for you.. ;)

Some US$2.5 trillion in profits belonging to American firms currently sits parked in foreign subsidiaries are being stimulated to come home to Trump’s America. Will it make it great again? Stay tuned and find out

Boomer is going to have to take a few months off again like when Trump won the election. He’s going to totally lose his shit this time

I think this basically guarantees NAFTA is getting scrapped

The elephant has just turned over

Pierre Trudeau had warned us of this

Ironic it should happen while his son is in Power.

Trump figures, who needs enemies when you have friends like Canada and Mexico that hate you.

Years of being ungrateful allies are catching up
