The light of believers in the Next Life

[Torch light]

There will be light for believers: the men, the light lightens their way, the light issuing from their breasts (their chests)
For the believers: the women, the light comes from their right hands.

While as for disbelievers: the atheists, the idolaters (including the enthusistic about the Christ, the prophets, sages, saints and imams), and particularly as for hypocrites
... they will have no light and will be in complete darkness.

Quran 57: 12, which means:
12. On the day when you will see the believing men and believing women with their light running a before them and by their right hands. b

[The angels will say to them:]
"Good news is for you: that, today, you will have gardens with rivers flowing [below their trees]. You will abide therein forever. Such is the great triumph."

12 a Wherever they may go.

12 b i.e. their light lightens round about them.

The expression (before them) concerns the ‘believing men’, and (by their right hands) concerns the ‘believing women’.

That is because God will make light in the breasts of believers to lighten their way wherever they may go.

In the aya following this one, we see a marvelous scene: about the believers having their light, while the hypocrites having no light and they ask the believers to lighten the way for them by means of their light, and what the angels will tell them then:

Quran 57: 13, which means:
13. On the day when the hypocrites: men and women, will say to the believers: "Wait for us! Let us receive [some] of your light!"

It will be said c [to the hypocrites]: "Return back [to Hell] then seek a light [thereof!]"

And a wall d will be set up between the [believers and the hypocrites], with a gate e.

In the inward of the [wall] is the mercy [of Paradise], and against the outward of the [wall] is the chastisement f [of Hell.]

13 d Which is the A'araf wall that separates between the suffering of Hell and the prosperity of Paradise.
13 e Through which believers enter into Paradise.

The Quran differs from the Torah and the Gospel (included in the Bible) in many points, and it agrees with many points, particularly the Ten Commandments.

Among the differences are:
>> The Quran gives detailed description of the Next Life scenes and the discussion and dispute of believers and of disbelievers there.
>> And the Quran gives the arguments: questions and objections of the idolaters and the answers to such objections.

A point of similarity of the Quran with the Gospel is that the Quran gives a large number of parables: so as to expound the subject of the idolatry (and associating others with God), and to explain it from various aspects in order to let people understand its implication.

Of course I have no certain knowledge about such guys, as you call them. But there are many probabilities and many ideas:
1- God creates whatever He likes, and He told us in the Quran that in the future He may create creatures other than humans, genies and may create other kinds of animals and creatures that we do not know about. This is said in the interpretation of the late interpreter: Al-Hilly.

2- There have been created on our earth four human races: the Red, the Black, the Yellow and the White race.

3-The mummification, desiccation and petrification of corpses of human and animals can happen: leading to preserving the body in a way or another like this discovered corpse.

4- There have certainly occurred some changes and defects in this mummified corpse: like the loss of his ears .. certainly, and the loss of his thumb: a place in his wrist indicates a place for a thumb or another finger; or it may be that those who sprayed the dust on him had done somethings essential for keeping and preserving him !?

5- But his long fingers .. etc. It may indicate he had come from another planet!? At that time (about 400 AD; before the coming of Mohammed also who was born at 570 AD), America had been unknown and none was aware about any land like America and Peru!?

6- On the planets, there may be some variants of our human races: i.e. they may be like us, but may differ in some points: like the color: other than our four colors, or wings or some other differences.

It depends also on whether they found it inside a grave, and was the grave inside a mountain or a hill ..!!?
It might also be that this man was mummified on another previous planet and his people buried him inside a grave which came embedded in some mountains (such mountains had been the pieces of that past planet which broke up.)

So this is also a postulation: it may also be like the Americans go to Mars, and the Martians may not know about them!? .. they settle in a remote desolate desert or mountain!?

The light of believers in the Next Life is also cited in another soora of the Quran 66: 8

On the Day [of Judgment] God will not disgrace the prophet and those who believe with him [by covering their nakedness with garments; unlike the disbelievers and associaters who will be naked.]

Their light runs before them and by their right hands; they say: "Our Lord, complete for us our light [by admitting us into Paradise] and forgive us [our sins]; for surely You are Most Able to do all things.

Moreover, this light issuing from the breasts of believing men, and from the right hands of believing women, in the Next Life .. such light is also mentioned in another aya:

Quran 57: 19, which means:
(Those who believe in God and His messengers; such are the truthful b , and the witnesses c [who testify] before their Lord.
They will have their reward, and their light. d

But those who disbelieve [in God] and deny Our signs [and revelations sent down to Our messengers]; such will be the fellows of Hell [to abide therein forever.])
