Those CF18s will never defend Canada.
The same amount of money directed towards fire fighting aircraft would be a far better investment and do more to defend Canada and Canadians than fighters ever will.

We used Super Hornets to bomb Libya. As I said the garbage they are considering buying from Australia are antiques with spent airframes.
