Just my notion of Michael Flynn's sentencing:
General Flynn, you now stand before the law. You had medals, and stars, and glory. I have only a plain, unadorned black robe. But I represent the law. I wonder what road led you into the trap of hubris, which wise men have known and carefully avoided for millennia. Was it your release from the discipline of the Army that made you decide the rules didn't apply to you? Or were you always that way, for we know some officers are. Admiral Halsey knew that fortune favors the bold, but General Pickett stands as an example of the fate of the reckless. Nonetheless, you decided that only you and your cohort knew what was right, only you and they could win us victory. And you decided that the law did not matter, that the law was for lesser men, that the law should not limit you, for only you had the truth, and only you had the vision. This is the trap of hubris, against which the Greeks warned us. In empire after fallen empire, wise men cried warning of hubris, and were not heeded. And hubris has led you here; your honor besmirched, your sword broken, your flag stained. You are stripped of all power, all command, all influence, and brought down to the level of common criminal. I will not imprison you, for your fangs have been drawn, and no person of ordinary prudence will deal with you again. There is no need to burden the public purse with your keep for a few months. But hear me well: do not appear before this court again, for you will never again find such lenience.
Get thee gone.
