Brooks Gibbs

Author/Speaker Brooks Gibbs explains bullying in the most simplistic terms: Dominance behavior.

He provides a simple solution to bullying as well: Don't get upset.

For more info about Dominance Behavior, see interview with school psychologist Izzy Kalman at this link: http://tinyurl.com/DominanceBehavior

There is no way to eliminate bullying from the world. A victim must always think about how not to be a victim. Unless someone likes to be victimized. But it's better to think about self-protection rather than hoping that the danger just will be eliminated by some higher power.

Yeah, unless the bully has the .44
( there is NO bully test when you buy one)

You have to **** them up in the head

Letting them swing while you keep your hands down and let them miss a few till the spectators start to giggle...especially the cute girls...

That is how you stop a bully

If you beat them often, that will create more problems later.

This thread isn't about your fantasies, it's about dealing with real live pricks on the Internet and in real life situations pgs.

Bullying is about lack of proper supervision. It starts with kids literally being abandoned on a school bus and in a school yard by adults who have neither the time nor the authority nor the gumption to regulate kids. It expands as we get older and learn that adult society is dead broke and impotent- LIE-beral hug a thug judges can be thanked for that crap! Political correctness run amok is not helping.

Consider this madness:

Here is an article illustrating the lengths to which some activists will go to `rebuild` our society in their selfish image. With some comments of my own in brackets):

Anti-bullying activist accused of faking bullying. No longer with TDSB, charged with public mischief

By Antonella Artuso, Toronto Sun.
First posted: Thursday, June 22, 2017 01:11 PM EDT | Updated: Thursday, June 22, 2017 05:04 PM EDT. Emily Wright (Dave Thomas/Toronto Sun files)

TORONTO - An anti-bullying activist has been charged with public mischief after an investigation by the Toronto District School Board and Toronto Police.

Emily Wright, a former early childhood educator with the TDSB, had complained officially to police that someone among her Orde Street Public School colleagues had sent her bullying and threatening notes.

Const. Victor Kwong said investigators believe Wright was the author of those notes, including one written on the bottom of her dog’s bowl. “She claims that between November of 2015 to April this year, numerous notes were left either threatening her or her therapy dog,” Kwong said. “We are now alleging that she in fact wrote them.”

Officers from 52 Division laid the public mischief charge on Friday.

Wright complained that she received well over a dozen typed notes at her desk and in her workplace cubby and mailbox, he said. Most of the notes had a bullying tone, but some made threats against her and her dog, Kwong said. “She claimed more than just bullying,” he added.

The anti-bullying advocate told one media outlet that she was criticized after organizing a pink shirt day event against bullying, and that she believes it started with resentment over her service dog, which she had for diabetes and anxiety.

(I guess we should ask a few questions about her anxiety issue even though it is not politically correct? After all it may well be that her anxiety is colouring her world view and tainting her judgement? Or is her anxiety partly the result of her worry that she may not get her own way?)

In a statement, the TDSB said it concluded its investigation in April and has closed the case.

“As it is a personnel matter, we can’t provide further comment other than to say the board has taken appropriate action,” the statement said. “With regards to ECE Emily Wright, she is no longer an employee of the Toronto District School Board.”

(For the record I do believe that bullying is a SERIOUS issue. I was sitting with a group of teens when our LIE-beral Education Minister Sandals assured us she had spoken with many teens and was absolutely confident that they felt safe in their schools- this was a little while after the Jordan Manners shooting. And those teens I was with all broke out in gales of derisive laughter at the minster! And it was agreed the minister MUST have only spoken to student council leaders- those aspiring to become LIE-beral leaders! As far as I am concerned, bullying is a function of inadequate adult supervision!)

In an interview with the Toronto Sun in 2015, Wright talked about how an 11-month stay at Eva’s Phoenix youth shelter turned her life around, after finding herself in the grips of drug addiction and homelessness as a teenager.

“I felt safe and I felt I could be myself here,” Wright said of the transitional youth shelter.

(That she suffered from drug addiction is not related to the near total lack of adult supervision in the school system that has led to bullying! School playgrounds are poorly supervised and a school bus is no mans land with NO regulation of behaviour at all! Drivers are paid to drive, NOT DISCIPLINE! When you put your kid onto a school bus you are putting the kid- UNARMED- into the wild west!)

Wright could not be reached for comment Thursday.

She’s scheduled to appear in court on July 27 at Old City Hall.

(WE NEED truth, logic and reason to resolve school issues and turning the system over to a mob of politically correct social engineers with crack pot theories just wont do the trick!)

Sorry, but that is utter, total and complete bullshit this "poor misunderstood bully" crap. Bullies are "psychos lite". They believe that sunshine emanates from their assholes ... Mr.and Mrs. Wonderfuls, all. They are almost always enabled by parents and handlers "who like the cuts of their jibs". Just look at the sort of support that a serial bully like Trump can scrape together just by lifting enough rocks.

Clearly you did not READ the post- bullying is about lack of supervision and lack of training! When we are children we are SUPPOSED to have adult supervision. When we are adults we are SUPPOSED to have the protection of law. NON of the protections are working at this time.

Parents are too busy. Teachers are not PERMITTED to handle kids and certainly cannot punish them. As for adults- WHO polices them any more? Cops are too busy trying to defend themselves from LIE-beral hug a thug judges who think that all criminals are VICTIMS!

It becomes ever more clear why cops end up shooting people. As I have said before-too many people become drooling idiots and forget how to behave when confronted by a cop just doing his job! The following report by Joe Warmington of Toronto Sun News illustrates a disturbing social trend. I include some comments of my own in brackets) along with his informative report:

Young armed punks brazen in cop stare down

By Joe Warmington, Toronto Sun. First posted: Tuesday, June 14, 2016 07:06 PM EDT | Updated: Tuesday, June 14, 2016 09:54 PM EDT
Neil Corrigan

Toronto - It was an armed standoff in Kensington Market few even knew about.

At one end of an alley in the heart of the Spadina and College-area market there were three young punks, armed and dangerous. At the other end were two Toronto Police officers looking for three fitting the description of armed robbery suspects.

The potential for blood, death, funerals and God knows what else was not only possible, but imminent on June 8.

“This is where the rubber meets the road,” said Supt. Neil Corrigan, unit commander of Toronto Police’s 14 Division.

In almost 30 years as a Toronto cop, Corrigan thought he has pretty much seen it all. But he had never seen what happened next.

“Normally when the police arrive, in my experience, young people just run away,” he said. Not anymore.

Instead the trio starred down police and started hurling insults and challenged the officers. “They had no fear of police and no understanding of the job we are sworn to do,” said Corrigan.

(I personally would suggest the kids simply have no CARE for the job cops do!)

The teens had allegedly just robbed eight people at gunpoint outside a coffee shop at Bellevue and Nassau. “One of the victims was a female who was poked in the ribs by a handgun. Others lost their wallets and cell phones, credit cards and cash. They were all traumatized.”

Meanwhile, the thugs were ”yelling that the police have no power to do anything and there is nothing we could do,” Corrigan said. “They were wrong.”

They just didn’t know it yet.

“One of the youths brushed up against a car in the alley and there was a loud clang. Right away my officers knew the suspect was armed with a heavy-duty gun.”

Calling it “remarkable” policing, his officers swooped in and arrested two of the youths.

Aged 15 and 16, they are in custody and two loaded handguns are off the street. They next day, police arrested the third suspect, 16, but are still looking for his gun.

They will appear at 311 Jarvis St. court Thursday at 9 a.m. The charges include “robbery with firearm, point firearm, use firearm in commission of offence, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition, possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order, possession of a weapon obtained by crime” as well as bail and probation condition breaches.

“It’s just pure luck no one was hurt or killed,” said Det.-Sgt. Ian McArthur, of 14 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau.

What about next time?

In a climate of banned carding and soft-on-crime courts, today’s young, armed criminal doesn’t seem to have any fear of carrying loaded guns or using them.

Corrigan says the defiance and notion among armed youth that officers are handcuffed thanks to politics and regulations is alarming because he shudders to think what could have transpired.

This is why he took to Twitter and Facebook.

On Twitter he wrote June 9: “Bad guys believe cops are not allowed to stop or talk to them, is that why so many seem to carry guns now?

Robbery suspects with guns tell my officers, Cops cant stop us or talk to us. They were WRONG. At TPS14Div; at TPSOperations
— Neil Corrigan (at) SuptCorrigan) June 9, 2016

On Facebook: “My officers respond to a robbery call, they located two suspects nearby who tell my officers that the police can’t stop them and can’t talk to them! The suspects are armed with two concealed guns in their pockets yet they believe the police are no longer allowed to stop or talk to them. That is the problem!!”

(I say this is the fault of LIE-berals-those craven vote seeking cowards who never met a citizen they didn’t think they could not both bribe and baffle with their bullshit! LIE-beral `hug a thug` judges with their `catch and release` mentality are allowing thugs to think of themselves as victims of white bigotry. This is an obvious problem when the REAL dual problems are crap attitude on the part of black thugs and a debauched and ruined economy with no real jobs available thanks to LIE-beral taxed to the max attitudes!)

“This is all about community safety,” said Corrigan. “Safety for my officers, safety for everybody.”

But when you have young criminals who have no respect for police, are so brazen, there is an issue that needs to be dealt with.

“That’s why I wrote what I wrote,” said Corrigan.

It’s more preferable than writing a letter to the widow of another slain police officer or parent of a dead kid shot by police. Corrigan almost had to write a bunch of them last week.

WHAT IS CARDING?

”Carding” or “street checks” occur when police officers stop a person in a capacity that does not involve arrest and leads to that person providing the officer with personal information. Police record the information and keep it on file for intelligence purposes.

The educational achievement of white youngsters is nothing to write home about, but that achieved by blacks is nothing less than disgraceful.

Let’s look at a recent example of an educational outcome all too common. In 2016, in 13 of Baltimore’s 39 high schools, not a single student scored proficient on the state’s mathematics exam. In six other high schools, only 1% tested proficient in math. In raw numbers, 3,804 Baltimore students took the state’s math test, and 14 tested proficient. Citywide, only 15% of Baltimore students passed the state’s English test.

(These sort of numbers are WAY BEYOND anything that a teacher can resolve! In fact I defy anybody to point to another time in history when such a large part of the population simply dropped out and refused to participate! This stuff is a form of collective madness- and it is cops who get to deal with the fallout!)

Last spring, graduation exercises were held at one Baltimore high school, 90% of whose students received the lowest possible math score. Just one student came even close to being proficient. Parents and family members applauded the conferring of diplomas. Some of the students won achievement awards and college scholarships.

(One really has to aks if it is helpful to respond to total failure in such a delusional fashion! No need to be insulting to kids bedevilled with social problems and dysfunctional families but such massive pretending is not useful either! Surely it is insulting to DENY on such a scale? Praise un-deserved is sarcasm veiled?)

Baltimore is by no means unique. It’s a small part of the ongoing education disaster for black students across the nation. Baltimore schools are not underfunded. Of the nation’s 100 largest school systems, Baltimore schools rank third in spending per pupil.

(That Baltimore fact gives the lie to Ontari-owe teachers claims they would get better results with more money! Throw money at teachers and all you get is massive debts and wealthy teachers!)

Baltimore’s black students receive diplomas that attest that they can function at a 12th-grade level when in fact they may not be able to do so at a seventh- or eighth-grade level. These students and their families have little reason to suspect that their diplomas are fraudulent. Thus, if they cannot land a good job, cannot pass a civil service exam, get poor grades in college and flunk out of college, they will attribute their plight to racism. After all, they have a high school diploma, just as a white person has a high school diploma. In their minds, the only explanation for being treated differently is racism.

(Is this educational FAKERY at the heart of the racial divide? Are Black people that profoundly ignorant of the world? Much has been made of the failure rate of black kids in college- it seems they get in on a quota system- that the college SHOULD have a certain number of blacks- so the “best educated” blacks are allowed in on that basis- and then THEY FAIL because they cannot do the work and NOT because of racism!)

Let’s look at math. If one graduates from high school without a minimum proficiency in algebra and geometry, he is likely to find whole fields and professions hermetically sealed off to him for life. In many fields and professions, a minimum level of math proficiency is taken for granted.

Let’s look at just one endeavour — being a fighter jet pilot. There are relatively few black fighter jet pilots. There are stringent physical, character and mental requirements that many blacks can meet. But fighter pilots must also have a strong knowledge of air navigation, aircraft operating procedures, flight theory, fluid mechanics and meteorology. The college majors that help prepare undergraduates for a career as a fighter pilot include mathematics, physical science and engineering.

What’s the NAACP response to educational fraud? At a 2016 meeting, the NAACP’s board of directors ratified a resolution that called for a moratorium on charter schools. Among the NAACP’s reasons for this were that it wanted charter schools to refrain from “expelling students that public schools have a duty to educate” and “cease to perpetuate de facto segregation of the highest performing children from those whose aspirations may be high but whose talents are not yet as obvious.” Baltimore Collegiate School for Boys is a charter school. In 2016, 9% of its students scored proficient on the state’s math test. This year, over 14% did so. It’s in the interest of black people for more of our youngsters to attend better schools. However, it’s in the interest of the education establishment — and its handmaidens at the NAACP — to keep black youngsters in failing public schools.

Few people bother to ask whether there’s a connection between what goes on at predominantly black high schools and observed outcomes. Violence at many predominantly black schools is so routine that security guards are hired to patrol the hallways. The violence includes assaults on teachers. Some have been knocked out, had their jaws broken and required treatment by psychologists for post-traumatic stress disorder. On top of the violence is gross disorder and disrespect for authority.

The puzzling question for me is: How long will black people accept the educational destruction of black youngsters — something that only benefits the education establishment.

(The ugly reality is that black kids are apparently being streamed into select schools largely to PROTECT white students from black kids carrying a hopeless and destructive attitude! The nation NEEDS well educated and disciplined school graduates to keep the economy functioning- dumping black kids with what amounts to mental health issues into other classes where the students are actually learning will HARM the more successful kids- and hurt the main stream economy! The hard question is what to do with black kids whose attitudes are so poisoned? The LIE-beral habit of bleating about systemic racism is NOT HELPING! Letting black kids off the hook- for their own failings by encouraging them to think of themselves as victims ENTITLED to some sort of blood money from white people will NOT encourage blacks to move ahead in any sensible way!)

Just another step towards eliminating natural selection.

Special or magnum? I guess it doesn't matter. Either is fine, although people might find the 44 magnum's recoil and the size of the handgun a problem.

It's too bad there aren't more 44 special revolvers around. The Charter Arms model is nice, but people have noted that it's light and recoil is more noticeable. Still, a great defensive round on par with the 45ACP, IMO.

The .44-40 was Smith & Wesson's answer to the Colt .45. Decent weapon. I prefer lighter caliber pistols, 9mm or .40. It's hard enough to hit anything with a pistol without it kicking like a mule.

As to the heroes who say the 9mm don't have enough stopping power, I invite them to take a hit from one, and see what they say then.

It's too bad that S&W doesn't make a 44 Special anymore. I don't particularly care for the Charter Arms 44 Special, but that's me. I had a Ruger Super Blackhawk for a few years, but rarely shot it.

I carried two handguns OTJ for years. A Browning 9mm and a S&W Model 64.

I take it that you carried a Model 92.
