Asian cultures place no value on cooperation or compromise?
The only ones which do were heavily influenced by the West, like Japan, which was a US colony for a generation, or Singapore. South Korea is has been under heavy US influence since 1952, is heading that way, too. But as to the rest, good luck finding much beyond autocratic governments, and rigid demands for obedience to ones employer.
Most of the world is of the mentality that "I get what I want. And screw the rest of you." The concept of compromise so that both benefit seems foreign. The reason the US government is in such a miserable state is because of the rise of this 'no compromise' mentality among the far right of the Republican Party.
