Um. . . horseshit. Here's the full text of his post:

"Democrats win in Blue states.... Roll Tide!

Another shocker... a White Irish Democrat has been reelected in Boston beating out yet another African-American. Let the Gentrification go on!"

Please note that the first line refers to "Blue [sic] states." Now, seeing as how Boston is not a state, and anyhow ain't plural, the discerning mind would catch a clue that Eagle is talking about things in addition to Boston.

Hope that helps.
Certainly I can actually read and I understand the whole text of his post , however he did not in fact mention Virginia but did mention Boston . As an internet lawyer you must see this .

Virginia had an election yesterday. And Eagle defines it as a blue state.

As an internet ignoramus you must see the connection.

The Hampton area and the larger cities are also Democratic. Right now the House of Delegates is majority Repbulican (66 out of 100), and as of yesterday's election may still be majority Republican (52 out of 100 is the best guess, some seats are still in contention). The Senate is majority Republican (21 out of 40).

Virginia's Congressional delegation is two Democratic senators and seven Republican representatives to four Democratic representatives.

The Hampton area is one big urban sprawl. We've both spent time there if I am not mistaken. The transformation from a red state to a blue state has been steady for some time now.

Kinda sad to see 90% of a state run by 10%, due to Urban population, almost like a 1% argument over wealth of a nation ;)

If not for the electoral college, the US Presidential election would be decided on how Manhattan votes. A little bit of embellishing there, but not much.

However as an internet lawyer who makes a living parsing words , you must admit he did not specifically mention Virginia yet did mention Boston . I see N.Y. had mayoral elections also yet he did not mention them either .

Would it be your position that elections should be by land area rather than population?

No I like it the way it is only thing I would like to see is a electorate at a state level, I don't know if it could be done, or if it would actually be fair. The Rurals, small towns deserve more of a voice in the State and in Washington.

Why? Is a rural resident more important than an urban one?

Given the turmoil the Dems have been in for the last while.....it could easily have gone the other way. The results were also related to the negative Trump effect"

On the most part 2 different mind sets and the message/concerns are drowned out coming from the Rurals, perfect world would be both messages/concerns to be heard. Why is it fair that the concerns from the Pavement jungle are heard the loudest?

So if it went the other way would you have considered it the "Positive" Trump effect?;)

Because more people live there. We call it "democracy."

Ah no... they were Blue States. Nobody is really shocked. As much as the libs want to pretend that it was a watershed event, it wasn't. After a disaster a year ago and losing every single special election since, they need something to fire up their base.

Yep that's why I said I like the system, I would just like to see the minority get a little bigger voice is all, is that a bad thing?

The GOP controls both houses of Congress and the Presidency. I think they are speaking pretty loud.
