All I see is a whole bunch of my comments taken out of context (yet again).

Is there a second guy in there that just shouts a whole bunch of extra shit in your head that wasn't there to begin with?

Because you really have to extrapolate quite a bit to come up with such a confluence of talking points + bullshit.

*sigh*

If I must...

Empty words.

Scroll up. Read. Understand context.

His false equivocation of counterprotesters with white nationalists was good enough to put him in Nazi territory.

Just like...

Damn.

I'd have better luck trying to teach logic and political philosophy to a cocker spaniel.

I give up.

You're simply too stupid.

Here's your ass handed back to you, quite effortlessly:

The number of hate groups in the United States has ticked up since the 2016 presidential campaign began, according to classifications of groups from the Southern Poverty Law Center, an Alabama-based nonprofit activist group that tracks civil rights and hate crimes.

Meanwhile, the number anti-Muslim groups skyrocketed and other types of white nationalist, neo-Nazi and neo-Confederate groups reversed their pattern of decline to tick upward.

By the numbers: 7 charts that explain hate groups in the United States - CNNPolitics

Now please, continue to bring those Nazi faces to my axe.

And you Bolsheviks have all the answers?

We are not talking about a dozen little Nazi groups.

Nazism and the KKK are just two forms of white supremacy.

Any rally that promotes racial discrimination should be considered to be under the chopping block.

Next.

Why do you discrimate against Caucasians?

Why do you discriminate against humans?

Damn.

I'd have better luck trying to teach logic and political philosophy to a cocker spaniel.

I give up.

You're simply too stupid.

Yes, that's what it was.

To be fair, Colpy, you have to admit that a law allowing the government to punish speech it doesn't like would go a long way toward bringing about the world mentalfloss wants, so it's not hard to see why he approves. There is logic to it.

Oh absolutely.

I am convinced.

What makes him an idiot is not that he fails to understand that a removal of rights is a slippery slope that will lead to tyranny, what makes him an idiot is that tyranny is what he desires.

Except they're not and we've had compliance rules already employed in business without any negative consequences.

Hey it work great for Lenin and Stalin. They convinced the people of an Egalitarian utopia, disarmed everyone and BAM.

Yes, making one small adjustment and believing it to lead to catastrophic ends is ridiculous.

Just look at that stupid face covering rule on buses in Quebec.

It's already being walked back.

Business is not the state.

If I do not like the rules where I work, I can quit.

What I am allowed to say, or not say at work has nothing to do with the entity that rules over me.

Indeed, a employer - employee relationship is tyranny.

And you want that to be the template for the relationship between the state and the citizen?

You are proving my point made below.

You want tyranny.

What mentalfloss doesn't realize is that the gulags were full of people who had been enthusiastic supporters of the Soviet government and truly, deeply believed in Marxist-Leninist doctrine.

Ditto the Catholic church in its day.

When you give a government near-absolute power, you are giving that power to people. And to prove their loyalty and value to the rulers, the second level will demand that the bureaucrats produce NUMBERS of counter-revolutionaries, or heretics, or other persons of unacceptable views. So the bureaucrats will go hunting. And they will find them.

I encountered this in the Air Force. When the Office of Special Investigations got bored, they'd start going on fag hunts. And thousands of good, useful, competent airmen who kept their sexual orientation to themselves and did their jobs, often superlatively, were summarily kicked out, to the detriment of the Air Force and the country, but to the benefit of the OSI.

Fascism lurks, in all places and at all times. It can only be resisted by assiduous adherence to a creed. I could put it in Christian or democratic terms, but to try to appeal to mentalfloss, I'll put in in nice, non-WASP, Wiccan terms:

"An ye harm none, do what ye will."

History and the messages spread hasn't changed. The platoon is the only difference.

And even that ain't different. They're all the same. They got the WAY to eternal peace, love, and understanding that has eluded humankind for thousands of years. Just sign up here, and do as you're told.

Who cares what armband they wear? They all look alike anyhow.

Middle Tennessee State University has canceled multiple events planned for Saturday and will lock residents halls this weekend in anticipation of a white nationalist rally set to take place in Murfreesboro.

On Tuesday night, university President Sidney McPhee sent out an email to the campus announcing that the Contest of Champions band competition had been canceled and the Expanding Your Horizons science event will be postponed.

This is the 56th year of the longtime band competition that involves marching bands from regional high schools. The science event is held for middle and high school-aged girls.

In an email, McPhee wrote that because of the rally set for Saturday and potential counter protests taking place downtown, the university "decided it was wise to reduce traffic to the surrounding area," as well as free up campus police officers and security workers to "be available elsewhere on campus if needed."

Organizers of a "White Lives Matter" rally have applied for a permit to demonstrate Saturday afternoon outside the Rutherford County Courthouse, located in the city's Public Square, though as of Tuesday the city still had not officially granted the event permit.

Oh, they're hypocritical cowards, you say?

I'm shocked.

Shocked!
