The pipeline protest was affecting their bottom line as their casino was suddenly losing revenue .

With the inclusion of Black Block types in their protest, the SRS not only lost face but opened themselves up to some of the worst optics possible. Once again, natives showed themselves to be totally incapable of holding a peaceful demonstration confined to the members of their tribe - no outsiders needed or welcomed. It was a costly lesson and one that could have been avoided with a bit of forethought and enforced control on crowd size and participants.

The Liberal Alt-Left has been trampling on minorities for quite some time now.

All the more reason for 'minorities' to take a stand of their own, apart from the LAL - and long past time that they did so.

This is totally off the topic but it is a memory of my first encounter with an American reserve that stuck with me all my life. My family and I were on a vacation in southern BC back in the 60's and decided to take a trip across the border. We visited a reserve while there and I will never forget how well-ordered it was and how the natives we met were well-dressed, spoke well and drove really nice cars and trucks. It was such a contrast to the reserves in my province of Saskatchewan that I couldn't help wondering how it was that having been conquered these natives still managed to build good lives for themselves whilst here in my country the unconquered were doing so poorly.

Lets see...REx Tillerson has a pension that pays him him about $250K a day

That's a million in 4 days ....roughly $7.5 million per month.

So your big win is that North Dakota takes home less from oil and gas than Rex Tillerson does?

*snicker* (?)

Isn't that extra from 1 Pipeline, not including the other dozen or so in the State, and what the heck does it matter what Tillerson is making it doesn't mean anything to North Dakota.

Just trying to contextualize the insignificance of $6 million a month in oil revenues.

Alberta makes $3 billion a year?

This makes the subject of the thread even less important.

$6 million oil revenue is literally nothing to ND

Hoid Hoid all Null and Void

There was a train derailment on Sunday near Edmonton 50 railcars full of oil . Of course complete with leaks and evacuation of neighborhood . Why is this not national news ? Why is Flossy not calling for an end to rolling pipelines ?
