You don't need to do a thing, they're doing just fine getting into Canada.

Yeah, but if we turn half of them back, then that means for each one whose shelter and food, etc. we paid, we lost the investment on half of them. Not a good rate of investment, wouldn't you say?

Ideally, we'd like near 100% staying. We might never get that, but visa-free access to the labour market would probably increase the rate well above 50% though.

Plenty of browns and blacks paying the taxes to pay them though.
at.

Nope, not doing the work, not paying any taxes.

I remember during the Ft Mav fires, it was only Whites doing the 24 hrs forest fighting,,, I couldn't figure out why there was no visible minoities also fighting the fires,,,I later saw the reason, the minorities were lined up at the gov bldg,,, waiting to get their free gov free disaster handout Cheque.

Like I say,,, same old,,,same old!!

I guess all the indigenous firefighters must have dyed their skins. Either that or you are simply making up the rubbish in your post.

Do you mean shut down the border? Build a wall?

You can't turn them back.

Canadians aren't racist enough to want to spend billions of borrowed dollars on a wall just to keep out brown folks

If you live in a country where you can be arrested for fishing without a licence, but not for entering that country illegally, it's safe to say that country is run by idiots.

Most of those aboriginal firefighters are chalk full of European DNA .

You obviously have not been keeping up with the times, many years ago the Natives were happy to help fight forest fires, but that is no longer the case today.

Now, the Natives are no longer (except for a few) interested in fighting forest fires that they feel are the cause of Whitemans activities on their lands.

And of course the Blacks and Browns don't know enough on how to handle a spade or an axe, totally useless!!

Yup....... and in spite of all the hullaballoo, they will all go through the process all immigrants go through here. Some will pass, some won't but at least they will be given a chance to present their case. If it is not legitimate back they go.......perhaps back to the US where the majority of them are immigrating from!!

I wonder if you have ever noticed that often Canada does not TRY to treat people as "dirty rats" and rarely makes as many enemies who wish to annihililate as many of our citizens as possible

It's not that straight forward.
Even if they fail their refugee claim, they will still be able to claim for citizenship if they had a child born here while waiting for their claim to be processed.
This is a known favorite trick to get in here known by ALL refugee claimants.

Once they have a child in Canada the child becomes automatically a Canadian, so if a claimant fails a refugee test, they then claim citizenship on compassionate grounds claiming that sending them back to their country of original will present undue hardship for the Canadian child.

On these grounds they almost always get to stay in Canada

I heard this morning that with the present back log of refugee claimants, it will take eleven years to clear the back log.
So be ready to support all these refugees for a very long time

Perhaps if they are that gungho to stay here to actually plan to give birth here then I assume they really want citizenship and not just coming to blow up the downhall. Going on the run in a strange country, with a new baby, being Canadian must mean a great deal to them, And heck if they can manage one child every year, for 11 years maybe we should be encouraging this route. Imagine how many children we would have to incorporate into the Canadian lifestyle. Ready made future tax payers.

For those who do not recognize tongue in cheek.....This is it! LOL

So... not as welcoming after all eh? So much for Trudeau telling them they were all welcome.

Seems like you want to treat these people as dirty rats.

It seems that close to 70% of Americans want Trump deported. Is that why Smack keeps deflecting by posting on here?

Did you read that in The Onion?

I guess you don't want to acknowledge the Canadian Refugee Crisis.

No I don't. we can't avoid refugee claimants, so no point trying. But by welcoming more workers, we ensure that the ones we must send back represent a smaller portion of those who come, so improving the return on the investment.
