I'm not into keeping up with the Jones'. Some might need the capabilities of the iPhone for legitimate reasons while others buy it as a status symbol when in reality they will use but a fraction of its capabilities. Why pay for bells and whistles you'll never use?

It's going to be difficult to get a dumb job in the future so we'll need to invest in higher education as well.

Good luck with that. Until we change the university structure more and more Canadians will be denied that higher education. See, you apparently don't realize that our universities are for-profit enterprises. Foreign students pay higher tuition fees than Canadian students. Now, if you're a for-profit enterprise who are you going to take in, the one who pays more or the one who pays less?

That's why we're testing out a basic minimum income.
