Why are U.S. citizens ignoring the 6% gain on GDP, by not nationalizing health care?

You don't care about the people who can't afford health care you served so now you have the VA for life..

So long as you don't have to pay taxes to help out the less fortunate in your society... ya greedy fukk

Republican BS less taxes for the rich the money will trickle down.. never happens.. they can't spend it fast enough to support a fair society

And that is why your wealthy and politicians come to the US for health care. :)

The wealthy have always have the best medicine that was available, stretching back to ancient times. What actually makes a good health care system is when everyone has access to health care; not just a privileged few. Currently the US health care system seems oriented to making millionaires out of doctors while at the same time providing only minimal health care services to the poorest members of society. That sort of thinking has made the US health care system the most expensive system on the planet, yet it does not provide full coverage for the lowest level of society.

You don't know how the VA works. But don't let that stop you from telling people who do know how it works how it works.

He served in the military so he now gets to go to the VA for the rest of his life... from what I've been told by ex-military in the US.. it's free medical...

Please correct me if I'm wrong and explain to everyone here how it works..

My buddy was injured overseas while serving and they cover everything for him including mess..

Maybe not everyone is treated the same, but wouldn't it be nice if everyone was.. sorta like Canada Health System ;)

There are eight priority groups in VA health care. Groups 1 through 3 (I'm Group 3) get free care. Groups 4 through 8 do not.

What you've been told by "ex-military in the U.S." is horse manure.

It does, indeed, but many of the people wanting cuts to government programs are the ones benefitting, they just don't seem to realize it.
Got a fair number of Canucks on this here board don't like Canada's health care system, though they are beneficiaries thereof. . . so what's the difference? Other than your "Americans are. . ." thinking, that is.

All the info is there ya Big Dumma... and consider yourself corrected as well as wrong.

See? Ya Big Dumma!

Maybe not everyone is treated the same, but wouldn't it be nice if everyone was.. sorta like Canada Health System ;)

Which of course you aren't... Big Dumma don't even know your own Health Care System.

Like you, for example?

I do not receive any benefits. None.

Group 5, I assume?

Feel free not to answer. Ain't nobody's business. Just nosey-ass curiosity.

I'd be dead if I depended on OHIP.
Often one IS better off to go to the grocery store or the garden for health care...

Like cayenne being shown to cause a a 13 % decrease in overall mortality in stroke and heart attack victims...
Our system, just in Ontario, kills 400 people a year by not giving all those victims cayenne.

The US system is based on the belief that governments should not be involved, and so, the idea of a single-payer system is completely unacceptable to most Americans.

It's a completely different viewpoint on society, and they'll never change.

Yet their government has their finger in almost everything the same way ours has.

Their and our oligarch owners will have it no other way.

The US system is based on ensuring that Aetna, Blue Cross et.al. receive a steady 35% profit margin on all heath transactions in the US (and the rest of the World, if they could pull it off). Those who can't cough up the dough should be denied care. There is no profit in treating them and they represent a "debit" column entry, only. America works for their insurers.

Without OHIP, or if I lived in the U.S., I would be either dead or bankrupt.

Who also insure the doctors against being the leading cause of death over all, and they own the poison pill companies too.

I'm not sure how OHIP helps bonkers crazy people. It probably helps to protect them from themselves but if you are sufficiently whacko, the Ontario health system cannot fix you.

I guess the system has to work for someone.
In my case, on three conditions, the doctors (Not necessarily OHIP), are batting ZERO.
;)
Fortunately, in my case, there is a library in town and the internet.

BTW
Doctors over the years of being mistaken, have CAUSED two of my conditions.

speaking from experience i see
:)

If you only knew how many aspergers/autism sufferers were suffering because of histamine intolerence caused by the vaccination program ( not to mention a whole HOST of OTHER diagnosises), you might change your tune...
...but then YOU are not an expert.( on anything I have seen here)
