The wealthy have always have the best medicine that was available, stretching back to ancient times. What actually makes a good health care system is when everyone has access to health care; not just a privileged few. Currently the US health care system seems oriented to making millionaires out of doctors while at the same time providing only minimal health care services to the poorest members of society. That sort of thinking has made the US health care system the most expensive system on the planet, yet it does not provide full coverage for the lowest level of society.

You don't know how the VA works. But don't let that stop you from telling people who do know how it works how it works.
No, it's aimed at making multimillionaires out of the executives of the insurance companies and health care companies.
The system would prefer that doctors were paid very little.
He served in the military so he now gets to go to the VA for the rest of his life... from what I've been told by ex-military in the US.. it's free medical...

Maybe not everyone is treated the same, but wouldn't it be nice if everyone was.. sorta like Canada Health System

Our system, just in Ontario, kills 400 people a year by not giving all those victims cayenne.

The US system is based on ensuring that Aetna, Blue Cross et.al. receive a steady 35% profit margin on all heath transactions in the US (and the rest of the World, if they could pull it off). Those who can't cough up the dough should be denied care. There is no profit in treating them and they represent a "debit" column entry, only. America works for their insurers.
Without OHIP, or if I lived in the U.S., I would be either dead or bankrupt.

I'm not sure how OHIP helps bonkers crazy people. It probably helps to protect them from themselves but if you are sufficiently whacko, the Ontario health system cannot fix you.
I guess the system has to work for someone.
In my case, on three conditions, the doctors (Not necessarily OHIP), are batting ZERO.
Fortunately, in my case, there is a library in town and the internet.

Doctors over the years of being mistaken, have CAUSED two of my conditions.

If you only knew how many aspergers/autism sufferers were suffering because of histamine intolerence caused by the vaccination program ( not to mention a whole HOST of OTHER diagnosises), you might change your tune...
