Maybe my kid's generation...Gen Z...will rebel against all of this crap and we'll have some sort of '70's-early 80's social/cultural renaissance down the road.
Glad to see you finally admitting one of your problems.

Millennials are the new boomers. That is how impactful they are and will be for a very long time.
It's like every single generation has an older generation that thinks younger generation not as good as they're generation.
I remember the '70's generation thought everyone from my generation were gay, girly men.
One of my bestest friends use to say that there was no good music after 1970.
My hubby agrees that this generation is quite unmannly.
I love change so I have no negatives about any generation except maybe the '70's cause they were quite mean and became known as the 'me' generation because of it.
I like millennials on the whole. I just can't understand how an entire generation has grown up being so defensive, and easily offended.
I guess I'm not covering any new ground here with this topic Header. But Twitter especially pisses me off these days with it's holier-than-thou attitude.
They never had a war or hard times. The last real recession was in the 80s. Most of them never had chores growing up either. WHich probably explains why they can't grow up. Also most of their teachers are the socialists from previous generations that do nothing but whine and bitch about how hard their lot is. Not exactly role models.
You might not like it but that's the way it is and will continue to be. Just look around. Not a chance.
While the rest of the planet was dealing with being absolutely devastated by post WW 2 destruction, America who was left mostly un-touched and in full manufacturing mode had a clear advantage, over everyone else in the world.
So we should start a war with someone?
So we should start a war with someone?
How about Queerbek?
What happens to us if we lose?
I have to think back on my father's generation ... young men who were forced by circumstances beyond their control to march off to war. They were a very grown-up bunch. They also built what we know as modern Canada (and the rest of the modern world), post-war.
We will never see their like again, I think.
Their descendents are all whiny.
I worked a tough warehouse job in my early 20's. One shift I was puking in the bathroom. My Supervisor knew we had all been out late partying the night before. I asked Hank, a 6 foot 8 retired Navy man with a tattoo anchor on his arm if I could go home early...to which he replied...
"Son? You gonna play, you gotta pay"
And he made me complete the whole shift. I never showed up for work hungover again. And I still respect him to this day.
