Look at my username and avatar and tell me that I disparage whites. I'm white myself.
and my Grandmother was FN and had absolutely NOTHING good to say about them. She considered them lazy and always having their hands out for freebies. So, your point is?

I don't expect them to. and as far as "davesmom" is concerned, she is one and calling a woman a name doesn't make me a misogynist. You may not agree with my assessment of her, and that is your right. That doesn't change my opinion of her.
I think the deeper question is how come crap stories like this make CBC News?
Were we all supposed to be shocked by this incident? Was it aired so we could all 'Tsk! Tsk!' and shake our collective heads at this so-called atrocious behaviour? And then we could all feel better about ourselves afterwards by making it a teachable moment for our children?

I don't see anything wrong with asking for a White Doctor, people of color ask for doctors of their color all the time, why can't whites do it?
The only difference is that people of color as for doctors in their native language, so the white guy doesn't hear the request.
It's not some, it's most.
Obviously they would feel more comfortable with a Doc from their own country rather than a White Doc.
I would pick a doctor dressed in skins and carrying medicine bags before I would pick an allopathic drug pusher of any colour.

You should feel free to do as you wish. The doctors that I know personally, and that number is in the range of 25 to 50, aren't pill pushers or anything of the sort. Too bad you live in an area without proper health care.
