Okay, you don't have to be whatever it is that you were born into, or from, or what your DNA appears to suggest you are, or anything. No one can force you. Not the government. Not the courts. No one. Check with CLiffy on this.
For example, just because you were (allegedly) born white doesn't mean that you have to BE white. You can be whatever you want. And when people challenge you, they only need to be reminded that it is racist and old fashioned thinking. Ancestry.com is false because it claims it can actually tell you what you are genetically. But as we all know, that's wrong, and definitely illegal.
If you appeared to be born into a white Catholic family in Dublin, but claim to be a black female from the Cleveland projects, then you are that black female. To declare you as anyone else has already been taken up by the courts. It's illegal to suggest that you are someone who you don't want to be.
You can even change who you are day to day. Yesterday, for example, I was a beautiful red rose at the flower shop. Tomorrow, I have a hankering to be a specific head of lettuce that I saw at No Frills this afternoon. On the weekend, I am going to be this lady.
