Did you watch Ralph Goodale on C.B.C. news this morning? He made it quite clear that no Canadian laws are being broken.

If they get onto Canadian soil before being apprehended, they are allowed to stay in Canada and go through the normal refugee-claim process.

Conservative immigration critic Michelle Rempel has called on the government to ensure migrants who sneak across the border are charged with crossing illegally, but Goodale said they cannot be charged if they make a refugee claim, at least until the claim is dealt with.

“Charges in relation to the crossing of the border cannot be laid until after the case of the particular individual under immigration rules has been finally disposed of,” Goodale said.

I don't think he used to be. My memory is getting a little hazy but I think he may have been Finance Minister under Paul Martin, so maybe the position he has now (recognizing his advanced years) is a little less intense.

Actually Peckerhead, I'm not quite so concerned with the legality of the law as I am with the fact that some people who go through all the prescribed procedures and protocols have to wait years to get in, while these guys can just walk up to the border and get accepted immediately. And F**king Justin just goes along with it, because he likes to be popular. The system is BROKEN, Gerry, and you know it as well as I do!

The current illegals have gone through criminal checks, have been processed by the CBSA and are now with friends, family or shelters. They have to file refugee claimant, which will take a few months. In the meantime, they qualify for legal aid and social assistance. If they get approved (maybe not the pinhead who had 20 hand guns in his bag!) they can apply for a work permit, but that also will take months. Canada is ill prepared for this and the number is not accurate.

Actually there is Dudley Do-Right blood in me both my Grandfathers were members of the RCMP,SORRY to disappoint you! Fight all you want,that's why it's called democracy. Yet we are stuck with him for about another 2 years like it or not ! He didn't get a huge majority by playing cards. Now these same idiots who voted him in with this huge majority are now the same ones complaining. My statement was more directed at THEM. Sorry you don't not understand Sarcasm.
