So what did folks think of the speech?? The chameleon Trump produced a more mature and even "presidential version of himself. Short on details though. Covered a lot of territory....probably too much. Spoke too long. But considering his history ...this has to be a better version of the gy.

Now...the question is: how long will it last?? Or will he bask in the glow of a rather favorable speech for a while and try not to get negative feedback for wa while. as his ego has a hard time dealing with anything that is not favorable.

When he actually follows the teleprompter...h does not do too badly.... (except for some of his idiotic policies )....when he goes Trump original ( Version T-1) he is really an idiot.

But .. would say we are getting a better measure e of the person....... .

Melania looks tired and as if she is playing a role. The adjustment cannot be all that easy for her.

Only saw art of the speech and was not impressed.

Trump did not specify any real corrective action that he will take to solve problems. All he really promised is tax cuts for the elites.

Big phooey on the phony.

A five minute ovation to a guy who said that political opposition is the enemy of the American people a couple of days ago...

I'm not mad as much as deeply concerned. The American Republic is charging into oblivion.

Literally, tens of millions have died and similar numbers have been tortured and caged over the last four centuries so that we can have political opposition.

I didn't watch Trump's speech. I never watch those SOTU speeches. Did he reveal his secret plan to beat ISIS? It's a few days overdue.

Wait until the press or someone disses him off..and he goes back to Twttering his real self.

He wants BIG money to do the grandiose / massive projects he has in mind..... and this was a schmoozing performance for the ages. Gotta admit it is a tad disgusting to see the media fawn allover this new version of Trump. (bet Trump has no problem with the media today ;-) It won't last. But for now he is in a business mode and needs approval for funds.

Lets see how he reacts when he can't get his way. All that schmoozing (including a personality change)....for nothing. ;-)

absolutely. Whatever it was . it suggests that someone / something still has enough influence on him .to the point he is willing t o change his behavior for over an hr anyhow.;-)The fact that his regime leaks like a sieve. we will probably find out son enough. Or he will blab it out himself. Via Twitersphere.(given his low impulse control)

Just think.this erratic bloke has access to the Nuke codes........Don't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy all over??

How so?? How is giving a semi normal type of speech to Congress requesting a truckload of funds extraordinary?? It has been done before and by better orators.How is not insulting anyone or blaming someone or being more civilized extraordinary. With Trump the bar is very low... so when he strings a few words into a sentence it can be considered " extraordinary " ;-)

Now.IF he got hit by heightening rendering a personalty change....... THAT might be momentous ..Wouldn't get too carried away...as one is dealing-with a crotch grabber , a fowl mouthed bully who has to has HIS way and gets his feelings hurt when someone tells him the truth about himself.

To keep things in perspective.just try and imagine his LONG speech without a teleprompter........as in ad lib.

Unless we've managed to clone him or he has a twin?!

I want to believe that the nuclear codes require multiple pin's by various others AS WELL as his and/or it was deemed unnecessary to give him the right codes? How would he know if he has the correct / right one(s)?

I kind of like the idea of cloning...but only in a novelette sort of way.
