Of all the crass ignorance, this takes the cake. It's exactly the same as when the father tells the child "no", so it runs to the mother and she says "yes".

Actually its because of the Safe Third Country Agreement that allows them access in the manner they are doing, signed 2002. Some critics say that there should be a suspension until the US can get their **** straight and some are calling for a debate on it.

Did any of you conservative chicken ****ers happen to check out what the law says ?

Only HH, relic - he knows about the 'safe country agreement'. No one so far has bothered to mention that Canadian law provides a set of regulations on how illegal aliens are to be handled. What everyone has either missed or ignored, is the fact that once on Canadian soil, if they ask for one, they are guaranteed a hearing before a refugee board.

That is the law.

Tony's back but maybe he should just retire to somewhere warm ........

Tony Clement hangs up on CBC's Mike Finnerty when pressed to explain how the RCMP should respond to people trying to enter Canada illegally from the U.S

MF: The RCMP are there on the border. What would you like them to do differently?

TC: I would like the government to come up with a plan to apply the law. Now if you're asking for the specifics ...

MF: My question is what would that mean? I'm just curious to know what happens to those people who are crossing on foot when they meet the police?

TC: I'm not the government. The CBC is not the government. It's up to the government to come up with a plan.

MF: But with respect, you're the Official Opposition and you're supposed to be coming up with solutions as well as just criticizing.

TC: Come up with a plan. Come up with a plan. That's ...

MF: So you don't have any idea how it should work?

TC: Sir, now you're putting words in my mouth.

MF: Well then tell us how it would work. It's a simple question.

TC: We have a problem. It's simple. Apply the law.

MF: But how would they apply the law? Would they stop them, would they say 'I'm sorry you can't cross here and you should go back across the border?' How would ...

I wonder if he might be able to answer for himself, or are you a mind reader and have the ability to answer for others?

You do know the meaning of the phrase "I wonder" don't you? I wasn't saying what he believed, I was saying what I wondered. The subtleties of English I suppose.

You know ill answer.

Yea i called them disgusting, would it have been better if i said, "wow, that is so unattractive"?.

Actually i guess it might have.

I wonder if he might be mocking the mental health of his fellow compatriots.

I never hinted at them having a mental problem. Wear what you want.

This has been going on for years and lots (not very widely reported) have crossed during the time of the last government, as well. This is not a new story.
