BC already reduced emissions.

Yes, I'm aware you believe that. Loc believes Trump will make America great again. Taxslave believes in naturopathy. JLM believes internet service is unimportant. Petros believes you have to pay money in order to benefit from a tax credit. Fortunately, I don't believe in silly ideas.

A Mouse Once Bit My Sister
Prices have been pretty volatile compared to my experience in NS, (there they just seemed to steadily go up every Thursday night), but I do remember filling up in November for $.86/L and the price this afternoon at the PetroCan on the #2 North of Airdrie, if my failing eyesight serves me correctly, was $1.09. Granted that was after the "Welcome to Nutley Land" tax was levied.

I too have seen significant fluctuations, however, those lows were more anomalous and lasted a couple of days at most.

The baseline price in YYC has been in the mid to high 90s for the last number of months.

It's in the annual report.

Go check it out.

Opps... Sad that the Behind the Numbers analysis sinks your boat.

Better luck next time

I'll acknowledge that a carbon tax can hurt the poor, but there are workarounds such as lowering income taxes on the working poor and reducing the GST.

I may have a libertarian streak, just as I have a socialist, a capitalist, and a corporatist streak too. But I'm hardly an ideologue and acknowledge good ideas in all of these ideologies.

I know, I'm just joshing.

You're probably one of the saner ones in here.

B.C.
I'm not rich.

Look for their annual report in 2018

Everything will be just fine.

Just like BC, which has had the best performing economy in the country since they began their carbon tax.
Would you care to explain how this carbon tax helps B.C.'s economy . The Vancouver school board just got fired for not balancing their budget . How much of that budget goes toward paying carbon taxes ?
Why do multinational forest and mining companies get rebates for reforestation when that was already part of their cost of doing business ?
Please explain how this helps B.C."s economy . P.S. I didn't even mention the health boards .

How much of my income is fair in your mind? Our household income is in the $200k range. What do you feel is a fair amount to give to the government?
Your dad must have a good job .

He's right.

There was a small increase in 2013 after they made their first target.

Because they didn't increase the tax to coincide with increased development.

Fortunately, Trudeau has the insight to make those increases in carbon pricing a few years in.
Of course 90 plus percent of our electricity here in B.C. comes from clean green hydro . We really need to tax that clean power more .

Yes, but conservatives will always feign shock to make it look egregious.

If anything, the increase is too mild.

You can pay my share since you like to pay useless taxes. You're a retarded fu*kwit!

You obviously didn't look at it, which shows we have been one of the best countries for meeting everyone's needs for decades now.

Cash grab is a term used by selfish people.

I can meet my own needs just fine without government help and even better without government interference and theft. I'm tired of retards like you expecting to benefit from my hard work.

I'm not rich.

The BC economy has nothing to do with the carbon tax. It is falsely propped up by an over-inflated housing bubble created by massive immigration of rich Asians willing to pay $2 million for a 50 year old house on a city lot. You are not even slightly adept at making false statements retard.

Mentalfart would probably say $210,000 if he was honest but as long as he is paying nothing and getting his welfare he doesn't care how much you pay and will always believe you should pay more.

No, you are stating your opinion. You are not an arbiter of the Truth, ... just another internet poseur.

The Wynne government shouldn't trusted with carbon pricing or dog catching for that matter.

The most untrustworthy and corrupt government in Canada, maybe of all time.
