In my opinion this elected official is suggesting and encouraging Electoral College members to revolt. Isn't this sedition?

Just more sour grapes, whining, and begging from the alt-left Dems.

They'll never get over this last election... and I LOVE IT!

I know little about the workings of the Electoral College, Eagle but I was wondering if there is anyway they could change the outcome of the election? Do they actually have the power to do that?

There is nothing that says the members of the electoral college can't ignore the will of their state's electorate. That is what this Democrat is begging them to do...

Ignore the will of the voters in your state and Vote for Hillary

If that happens then there will be a sh*t storm.

It's kinda the whole reason the electoral college was created. The framers of the Constitution didn't trust the voters.

They didn't trust full democracy because they did not want the majority tramping on the rights of the minority.

Liberals in the US would be quite comfortable doing that and they would be quite comfortable with NYC, Los Angeles, and Massachusetts running the rest of the country.

I think that a sh*t storm might be preferable to the possibility of armed insurrection that could result if the Electoral College decided to ignore the outcome of the vote.

It is clear that the Democrats are not interested in uniting the country. They continue to tear it apart with their silly, fruitless protests.
After all of their preaching about the smooth transition of power and the way they chastised Trump for not saying he would accept the results of the election. What a bunch of hipocrits! Pathetic and disgraceful!

I did not think Trump would win but I knew that if he did that the Democrats and liberals would never accept the results or unify. The chasm between the two groups is wider than it has ever been.

How could they reverse their vote now? What gives them authority to do that? Don't they get one vote like everybody else?
I have never heard of a Party anywhere, ever, kicking up such a fuss about losing. It's a disgrace to the Country!

I figured as much, Eagle but decided to state it plainly and drop the the euphemism. I can't tell you how really terrifying I find even the thought of Americans devolving into another civil war.

The Electoral College has not voted yet. They will vote on December 19th in their respective states. In practice they vote the will of their state electorate. So even if it was a 51% to 49% vote in PA (for example), Pennsylvania's Electoral College Members all cast their vote for Trump because Trump carried Pennsylvania.

They carried on like this when GW Bush was elected both times. Although this time I agree, the liberals and Democrats are a little more angrier than usual. :)

Maybe if Trump gave Clinton a silver trophy for a good lie ....I mean try.. the lemmings would settle down?

I was thinking that the liberals and whiners in the big cities would accept a participation medal like they were given in youth soccer. :)

Thank you. I forgot about the EC having a final vote. That's a silly rule too, imo.
Trump had quite a sizable lead in the EC vote so they would have to turn over a large number to make a difference.
If by any chance the results were overturned I think there would be more justifiable anger among the Republicans that we are seeing now from the Democrats. After more than a month, to reverse the election results would be a major upheaval.
God help the world if Clinton were ever President!

And the liberals are quite comfortable with an upheaval. They just aren't that smart.

No kidding! What a disaster that would have been.

Liberals would fall very quickly. There simply aren't enough mocha lattes and safe spaces on the front lines.

That is why you will never find the results for the Canadians voting to end the Sovereign Provinces for a central government in Ottawa.

In the U.S. right now, a gang of traumatized artists and intellectuals is proposing that members of the Electoral College should ignore the result of November’s election and collectively choose some president other than (Choke! Gag!) Donald Trump. One Republican elector from Texas, a fellow who supported Ted Cruz in the party primary, says he intends to actually break from his pledge — something that has happened before in individual cases. But the impetus for an Electoral College revolt is coming largely from people who call themselves liberals, when they are not busy trying to add heaps of banana flavour to the American republic.

So--called “faithless” electors have always had their oddball votes duly recorded, although it is not altogether clear what might happen if enough of them acted in concert to change an election outcome. It is uncertain constitutional ground, and thus unsafe by nature. But that has not stopped some from suggesting that a somewhat imaginary “college” of electors has a positive duty to block Trump.

Harvard constitutional scholar Lawrence Lessig has created a fund to provide free legal advice to rebel electors, and a Democratic elector pledged to Hillary Clinton in Colorado is suing the governor and other officials of the state, which Clinton won, for the right to “exercise their judgment and free will.” They are calling it a “Moral Electors” movement. If trifling with the procedural legitimacy of American elections is a “moral” thing to do, I can only thank God that I live in an immoral country in which this sort of explosive tinkering is discouraged. The lunatics who want to overthrow the constitution when their side loses a fight — up here the Governor General often plays the Electoral College’s role — are mostly confined to their metaphorical rubber room by a political and intellectual consensus that, for now, spans political parties
