That is hilarious.

Ya might want to touch base with the liberal brain-trust (ironic term, I know) and get them to fabricate a new talking point

I'm a Conservative who wants to see an electable Conservative party. Unfortunately, the party was hijacked by whacko, ultra rightist, Bible thumping, Eastern hating "family values" Republican wanabees from a couple of the country's agricultural boondocks who managed to get our party fired, last election.

Not too bright, eh Cap'n?

Do it all again, Cap'n?

Can't learn new tricks, eh Cap'n?

Exactly, who are you talking about?... Certainly you wouldn't be referring to the guy that was PM for the last 10 years and put Canada at the top of the G7 and G20

Do it all again, Cap'n?

Can't learn new tricks, eh Cap'n?

Oil did that.

I too am a conservative that is tired of the social conservatives. I voted independent last time. The Conservative party are walking by a significant number of voters to appease people like you who are in no way fiscally conservative. It's a recipe for another Liberal government, more debt and more PC nonsense.

The biggest issue with social conservatives is that they see the world in black and white. In that respect, they aren't much different from SJWs. In fact, if you disagree with them, they assume you must be left. You are a prime example of this. When we discuss fiscal issues, i'm clearly more conservative than you. You only care about social issues

Balanced budgets would be great. The social conservatives only seem to care about that when the Dems or the Liberals are in power. Liberalized trade? Conservatives should desire that. Handing taxpayer dollars to corporations? How the **** can anybody that claims to be conservative, support that. That's a serious question. I'd love for any Trump supporter to explain how they can support that and yet claim to be conservative. Plainly, fiscal responsibility is not remotely important to them.

A side order of air biscuits and gravy'd be ahight. lol

Where we meeting up next month?

Can't disagree with anything that you've just listed.

I don't support the recognition of gay marriage in law. Of course, I don't support the recognition of marriage in law. Who I live with and under what circumstances are of no concern to the government. Family values? That's just a euphemism social conservatives like to use because "sticking my nose in your business" doesn't resonate as well.

I don't think anyone believed that the Liberals would fulfill all of their promises. No Party ever does; it would be impossible.
But ---
One would have thought that they would prioritize.
What they have done is concentrate on a lot of foolishness, none of which is anywhere near what the country needs and expected.
The Liberals are focused entirely on social issues; gender equality, diversity, election reform, refugees, foreign aid, etc.
Where is the infrastructure rebuilding that they were going to spend so much of that deficit money on? Where are the improvements to the First Nations that they promised when they were wooing them for votes? The bulk of the money they have spent so far has gone out of the country.
Trudeau just wants the rest of the world to love him! So he tries to woo them with cash!
What an AZZHOLE!
And we're going to be paying for his financial largesse for a long long time.
Bailing out Bombardier was probably the biggest Canadian expenditure he has made so far and we all know why he did that, don't we? Gotta keep that Quebec happy!
It must be soooooo easy to spend other people's money. Even when it's money borrowed in OUR name.
