No, it was lucky, and by the standards of many nations, undemocratic. After all the majority is supposed to rule. Where is the Dumpster's majority?
Every once in a great while, Mother Nature decides that the human herd must be culled. It can happen anywhere there are too many people, polluting the planet.
We see her doing this with typhoons, earthquakes or other natural disasters in places like India, Africa or SE Asia. We're probably going to see it in the US and the Middle East. A few million people will be removed from terra firma, all in the name of a balanced ecosystem.
My orbuculum, carefully cradled on an ermine lined quartz mount, gives me a special glimpse into the world of the 'yet to come'. Here's what I see.
1. Fewer declared Democrats. Embarrassment and disappointment will decimate their ranks.
2. A resurgence in traditional country music. The youth is going to start the movement back. Sometimes, simple is best.
