There really is only one Gnosticism, although in several disguises. It was aligned, in fact the origin, of many early heresies which denied the divinity of Christ, viewed the material world as Evil and in conflict with purely spiritual realm of Good. It espoused a mystical, esoteric doctrine deeply antipathetic to the human cause in the world.
It was characterised by carnality, morbidity, passivity, pessimism, fatalism. It is clearly visible now in radical environmentalism, eroticism, homoeroticism, feminism, relativism, radical individualism.. and is fundamentally opposed to all concepts of a sacred character and destiny to human life or to a natural law subject to a supernatural divine order.
Hence it is manifested in rampant homosexuality, promiscuity, abortion, euthenasia, corruption of science to mystical psuedo scientific forms, devaluation of human agency in economy and industry, dissolution moral rigour and faith, exploitation, impoverishment, depopulation.. essentially an abandonment of purpose in life.
But as to your last point.. that is valid. There is a malicious super intellect behind all of this, who has convinced the world he does not exist.
