yep, very good game, happ is so solid, I smiled when the oriole hit the homerun, and he remained looking
straight ahead, beckoning for the ball, come-on, lets go, he was thinking, forget that one. no reaction
at all, and it didn't even phase his great game today.

The look on the faces of some of those great Oriole batters after JA got them swinging or looking was priceless, talloola. One or two of them tried to argue with the ump but nothing doing, the graph showed what happened. Strike 3 and you're OUT!

Rainy and overcast here today - good day to watch the final game of the series. Aaron Sanchez will be on the mound for the Jays today.

GO BLUE JAYS, GO! :canada:

Well that was one way of losing a ball game. The Jays fall a half game behind the Orioles so they basically traded places again. And now the Jays might face a problem with their bullpen in their game tomorrow against the Astros. Too top that off, Tulo got hit on the hand today and pulled from the game. Not a good day in Mudville.

guess gibbens was definitely hoping for the game to end in their favour before he had to go to the

very thin part of the bull pen, last two were horrendous.

as they explained yesterday, these two teams are so similar, one difference, Toronto has the stronger

starters, but orioles have the stronger bullpen, that was very apparent today.

Tulo has a small chip fracture in his thumb after being hit by a 93 mph fast ball yesterday. The team said they will evaluate him today to see how he feels and if he can hold a bat.

Here we are in the top of the 12th inning and the score...........1 - 1 so you can tell that this has been little more than lights out pitching from both teams. I am almost hoping the Astros get a run in the bottom of the inning because we are deep into the bullpen now. Marcus Stroman had a good night and a career high 13 strike outs. I lost track of all the pitchers that followed him but they all did their job in varying manners. The last guy on the mound got his 3rd out by having the pitch come right back into his glove. It was a nifty way to end his shift.

Brett Cecil is on the mound now

It appears that Brett got out of the inning okay - a friend called and I missed part of the game. Got back in time to see that the Jay's bats got out of the top of the 13th without putting a foot on base.

Roberto Osuna is in now.

Roberto gets ought of the inning, strands two on base and the Jays will to to the top of the 14th without me, I'm off to bed. Wish them well.

'he' says he's no going on the DL, which means it is day to day, but we don't know what the doc says.

As much as I have come to love watching baseball, talloola four + hours does get a bit long for me especially when it's a pitchers game and the bats are cold on both sides. I see I didn't miss anything by hitting the hay.

The new guy we got from Houston blew it.

Anybody else perplexed that Sanchez is being moved to bullpen? I thought it was a good idea back in April when the bullpen was really bad. But I don't see how you can do it now. And then leave R.A Dickey to continue to struggle every 5th day. None of the arms they got will be as good as Sanchez as a starter.

yeah, I think that even the blue jays themselves don't really know if this is good or not.

if he pitches out of the bull pen, maybe they can pitch him 3 or so innings at a time, and not one
inning that they do now with the others, so, if he pitches 3 innings a bit more often than he does
the present rotation, we will actually see him more than we do now, but not quite as many innings in
a row, so maybe it is good.

I have often wondered about throwing a new player into the game against their former team on the same day they are traded. I know the guys are pros and realize that trades will happen but giving them a day to adjust wouldn't be so bad would it.

As for Sanchez, I would much rather see him on the mound than having to watch RA struggle with those knuckle-balls which seem to have a habit of turning out to be wild pitches leaving Russell to scramble after them while a runner steals another base or two. Just my opinion.

Re: Sanchez

Russell Martin doesn't like it. Josh Donaldson doesn't like it. Greg thinks it's stupid and does a disservice to Sanchez.

I don't have to be up early so if this one goes to extra innings I will be here for the long haul

I'm trying hard to overcome my innate sense of trepidation over the pitching of RA and replace it with one of utter and total belief in his abilities.

The reasoning I have heard is they think they will blow is arm if they don't keep his innings down. I think its the year over year count they are looking at. They want him to be pitching in October and traditional guestimates about pitchers says he won't if he spikes innings year on year. I am not sure I subscribe to that thinking.

R.A of course pitched a gem tonight. Leaves game in the 8th leading 2-1.

thole always catches for dickie, and I hate watching him pitch too, but he is actually doing quite
well tonight, but the year is moving along, and he won't be back next year, yippie.

yeah, there is no guarantee either way, so it is a gamble, they seem to be playing it safe,
not sure if that really is safe.

There was a disturbance in the force last night just as the first pitch was thrown in the game and bang our power went out. Well it was that or a powerful storm front - whatever I missed the entire game and neither my internet nor sat feed came back until this morning.

Wouldn't you know I missed RA's first good solid game, the first time the Jays won a game in Houston, Joey's 300th homer......oh and our newest pitchers great debut .............sheesh.

awe poor you, serves you right for going to bed before it was over night before, and I couldn't get
immediate final results. lol

yeah, dickie was 'lights out', but I still don't like watching him, but I'm sure he couldn't care less
what I like. lol I missed a couple of innings as I nodded off on the sofa for short power nap, then
came to, and saw most of the rest of it.

we were suppose to get thunder and lightening storms yesterday, could hear thunder way off in the
distance, but all we got was a couple of baby showers that lasted about 5 minutes, we still had our
lunch out at our picnic table, and the day was comfortable.

Sounds like it was an exiting game to watch. LOL

I missed it (got updates on my phone) as I was watching my son play in his playoff game (which turned into a practice when other team didn't show).

I didn't have to get up really early this morning and had planned to watch the entire game even if it went to 20 innings just so I could report back to you.

I was feeling the same way about Marcus Stroman for awhile but he seems to have his 'stuff' together now.

It was the weirdest storm talloola. First there was huge crack of thunder and the power went out but came back on quite quickly. However, neither my sat feed nor my xplornet did. As fast as the storm moved in - it left - without a drop of rain in its wake. Hoping for fair weather for the game today.
