RA's thrown 49 pitches with more to come and we are at the bottom of the 4th

I think it would be nice to win this year.

I do too, DB..........hey what Blue Jay fan isn't pulling for one, eh?

Right now, I am more than content to see the guys playing good ball.

I like baseball, I used to do softbeerball, I can't watch the game on TV it leads to the next game on TV. Will the Jays, I think . win the baseball cup?

Pitchers throw away thier lives.

RA got out of that one fast.

Off to the 5th. Greg went pretty easy on young Devon, calling his error a 'mental mistake that he hopes we've seen the last of".

I became a Jay's fan last year when they were heating things up in the ALE and never looked back. I've watched every Jay's game I could this year and that's the majority of them. I've seen them develop into the team they are right now and it has been exciting, disappointing, frustrating and thrilling journey thus far. I wouldn't have missed a moment.

What I like about watching baseball on TV is that I can get a hell of a lot done and not misses a single play. Unlike hockey.

Bats are in a bit of a lull it seems. They are making base but those big solid hits are few and far between tonight. We need Edwin to lead the charge.

Orioles get a double to second
RA strikes out second batter
Full count and RA walks him

RA's up to 70 pitches now and this batter is working him

Fly ball out to center and Kevin snatches it easily - 2 out, 1 on second
Now Machado comes to the plate and he's hot
Cooled down quickly when his foul fly was caught for the 3rd out of the inning.

Givens in to start the 6th for the Orioles - Tulo at bat

Tulo flies out to center

Kevin was hitting .391 coming into this game but strikes out at the plate this time

Travis gets tagged at first for the Jay's 3rd out of the inning.

The sun is a bit of a problem for batters right now as they are in the shadow staring out at the pitcher who is ringed bright sunlight. Hard to read the pitch. I got that from Buckie and his bud BTW.

Hope RA can take advantage of that
First batter singles out

Okay bats...........RA came through for us and now you need to come through for him. At the very least, a tie would nice in this inning.

The bats don't come through, RA is out and Jesse Chavez is in for the bottom of the 7th

I will pray for the Jays then, it would be a good news story, anytime we can command thier game is special. Really good rub, with grit. There you go I'm hooked already, the stuff is dangerous, I like baseball but I m a busy person and haven't the time, my holes and threads would suffer.

Brach on the mound for the Orioles in the 8th

With baseball it's David and Goliath being that there is a single Canadian team in the league which makes the goal that much harder to reach but that much sweeter when they do. We'll see how it goes, DB........long road ahead yet.

Jays go down in order

Gillis to the mound for the Jays

May godd bless our devotion. I will try to attend church more often, I think you know about the game.

You don't have to attend church to pray, DB. I do my best praying when I am surrounded by Mother Nature.

I don't know much but I am good at picking up on what Buck and his buddy talk about...........and boy do they talk a lot. They also tend to be highly repetitious which is to my advantage in learning about the game but gets a little old after awhile.

The Orioles scored another run to make the score 4 - 2 going to the top of the 9th. Looking on the bright side, I highly doubt they are going to be able to come through in the 9th to equal the runs that the Jays had yesterday.

Darwin Barney in to bat for Smoak I think, gets a walk after Devon gets to first on a single with 1 out.

Martin walks loading the bases for Josh

And the Jays are out on a double play after Josh hits a single to the shortstop. The Orioles take this one and the series is tied.

I was sitting here thinking that as much as I enjoy those high octane games where the Jays are smokin' the bats, I wish they could string out the runs over more games. Still, the Orioles only won by two and that's saying something right there.

Marcus Stroman will take to the mound for the Jays in the rubber match tomorrow.

I do tend to concentrate my attention when my interest is fully engaged. The fact that I am like totally a n a l might have something to with it too.

I'm not much of a gloater, DB. Unless there is some grievous reason for not doing so, I will give the losing team their due.

Just a small point if its a single to shortstop it is a hit not an out. I think the word you are looking for is ground ball. I only say this so when you start your professional career as a play by play person, you don't get it wrong.

Oh IRBS, thank you so much for helping get the lingo right. I downloaded a baseball terms dictionary so I can better explain what I am seeing but, please keep correcting me .............just in case that professional job ever appears on my horizon.

Not a good start for Marcus today as he gives up 3 in the 1rst whilst the Jays went down to the Oriole's starting pitcher.

Top of 2nd and Tulo just hit a homer that also scored Russel who got on base with a double.

Kevin gets an infield hit and makes first safely

Don't know if Devon will make base but he sure as heck is working the pitcher.

He's sitting at 1 and 2

2 and 2 after numerous fouls

No problem making base as he will go all round to home plate and score Kevin before he reaches it on his nice little homer.

All of sudden it's 4 - 3 TO

Darwin takes strike 3 and there are 2 away

4 - 3 TO top of the 2nd

Jay's bats are really working the Oriole's starter - he is up to 58 pitches

Official Blue Jay's Ball Cap for Father's Day. I really don't care for these new flat brim ball caps. Much prefer the lovely curved peak that mine bears. Happy to see the Jay's continuing the tradition of bringing more awareness about men's prostate cancer.

WTH?? All of a sudden I'm watching the Red Sox vs Seattle.................on every channel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so we're back but I still don't know what that was all about. There was a delay of game so haven't missed anything.
Back in time to see Marcus give up another run.

Marcus strikes out next batter and the inning is over but the game is tied 4 - 4. I actually enjoy this type of game where there is a lot of action at the plate and in the outfield.............as long as the Blue Jays prevail.

If there was a delay in the game, SN probably just switched the feed to another game in order to keep you entertained. You probably missed the 3 seconds where they explain what they are doing. :)

I did miss the explanation as I was frantically trying to get the game online only to have the feed comeback just as I got to the site.

3 up, 3 down top of the 3rd...........and Buck told us that the 3rd was the Jay's best inning for scoring..........hmph.

3 up, 3 down for Marcus.............his best inning so far

Jays are retired in order

Some wild pitches coming from Marcus' today.

And he gives up another run with 2 out

And another one, and it looks like Marcus is going to be pulled in the 4th........probably a really good idea as the Oriole's just took a 7 - 4 lead over the Jays.

Joe Biagini on the mound for the Blue Birds bottom of the 4th and gives up a hit. The Orioles have 2 on base with 2 out.

Batter flies out and the inning is over

Devon lands on 2nd after a lead-off double but is left stranded when the batters can't bring him home.

Joe gives up a lead-off base hit

Oriole's score another run off an infield single and it's 8 - 4 for the Red Birds bottom of the 5th

Orioles' going for the big score today and so far our pitchers are aiding and abetting them.

And yet another hit. The Jay's outfield needs to shape up. Gibbons just made another call to the Bull Pen. Joe out - Gavin Floyd in.

The Oriole's are out to wreak their revenge for the 13 - 3 blowout in their first game of this series with the Jays on Friday

Floyd gets us out of that inning

Have you been voting for your All-Star picks, IRBS? Just got back from voting again today. You can vote up to 5 times in one visit then have to wait 24 hrs to vote again. Voting ends on June 30 so let's get that vote count up for our guys........eh.

https://securea.mlb.com/mlb/events/...lb_ballotconf&partnerId=ed-10389157-905239433

Floyd gives us 2 perfect innings and Tulo follows that with a lead-off double...................GO JAYS!!!

Kevin just misses making first on his single

Devon Travis hits a double and scores Tulo

I haven't voted for anybody in the all star game since 1994. I only then voted when they passed out those little cards where you punched holes in them. My buddies and I went to some combination of 10-12 games a year and we used to get about 3-4 votes. We sometimes did themes. We never voted just because they were blue jays although most were the favourites. After last year it is pretty clear the current 'voting' system is a bit rigged. Weren't there like 8 KC Royals in the starting 9 last year? Truth be told, I probably won't even watch the game. The whole experience kind or rubs me the wrong way and I firmly believe that it should not decide home field advantage for the World Series.
