Okay....here's my opinion on the matter.

It is much more serious than manhandling the Mace which is, after all, an inanimate object.

Our wonderously childish, narcissistic, entitled, and perhaps even sociopathic leader lost his temper because he was stalled for 30 seconds, and he stormed across the floor, and assaulted the Conservative whip.
Better watch what you post, Colpy. That boy has a known propensity to violence!

Don't forget that Trudeau also provided a signal service to the NDP member in helping her straighten-out her bra with his elbow.

Sure is one helluva considerate guy, our PM

Colpy more or less related events as they ACTUALLY happened! Isn't that good enough? :) :)

Yes, assaulted. Please refer to Section 265 of the Criminal Code, remembering that Mr. Brown told him "Get your hands off me, now". In the process, Ms. Brosseau was hurt, elbowed in the breast. I personally believe the vicious little prick did it on purpose, which would be another assault, and a more serious charge, but I guess he gets the benefit of the doubt.

Be that as it may, he apologized multiple times, and his apology was accepted by the aggrieved persons.

Drop it.

Don't forget it, as it reveals a very nasty streak in the shytehead we elected PM, one he carefully hides. But it will surface again. And it might even eventually awaken the morons that love this guy.

An Liberal majority committee investigation is a complete waste of time.

Now, the Liberal argument: "Trudeau didn't manhandle anyone. He simply tried to assist the Conservative whip across the floor."

If your definition of "assist" involves dragging someone across the floor against their will and over their protests, while elbowing people out of the way and yelling "Get the **** out of the way" then excuse me for being scared to death of your "assisted dying" bill. :)

I'd totally vote for him if he was a total dickhead in reality. If he starts beating the **** out of idiots in the parliament, I'm voting for this guy in the next election.

Politically they should drop it because it's actually making them look bad, the NDP in particular. But if they have rules and punishments about that sort of thing, and they've enforced them in the past, then they should enforce them now. If anyone shouldn't be allowed to get away with it, it's the powerful and the Prime Minister is the most powerful person there.

No conspiracy just no surprise. Did you honestly expect Lieberal faithful to rebuke Justin?

I honestly expected everyone would back away from this except people like cap'n morgan who are desperately hoping for a hail mary play because he's losing business in the oilpatch.

Not embarrassing at all for the opposition.

The scummy little bastard (a friend calls him "Mick's little boy") was never going to be punished anyway by a Committee with a Liberal majority.

Brosseau wrote that the prime minister's "inappropriate, physical intervention" was not acceptable in any workplace, but she accepts Trudeau's "comprehensive" apology and asked that the committee drop the issue.

And she was the person hurt.....so let it go.

Apparently nothing went very well in your 'absence' so now you need to vent here. I hope somebody here feels a bit used by that tactic.

The opposition has nothing to be embarrassed about.

Considering Trudeau's lies, mistreatment of democratic process, broken promises, spending insanity, and assaults on the floor of the House, you might as well be making an argument against democracy itself.

Cult of Personality inspired sycophancy is not a healthy thing.

Democracy wasn't working that well for us anyway. 'JT the dictator' is something I could stomach for the next few decades.
