It makes the manager feel useful.
Say it ain't so...........and things were going pretty well too. I hope he feels useless again and switches them back.

Another call to the bullpen ... another L.
I was so disappointed, IRBS. Talk about having an off day - the whole team was off. Don't know what to expect tonight. One thing is for sure, my expectations are so low that they can only go up. GO JAYS!!!
Jay's Happ comes through with an 8 and 2/3rd's scoreless innings against the Giants. Tulo silenced many of his critics after he went 2 for 3 and was involved in all of the Jay's scoring. He hit a home-run, hit a sacrifice fly that sent Michael Sanders home after the latter hit a triple, then he had an RBI double and ended the day scoring himself. Good game for the Jays.
I always have expectations, talloola.............I just don't let them get too high......most of the time.
2 impressive wins. I think it is time to reserve my seat on Bay Street for the World Series victory parade.![]()
Jay's last game of the series not lacking in highs and lows. The outfield errors are piling up. We're going to the bottom of the 11th tied 4 - 4.
And now onto the bottom of the 12th........these guys are going to be tired puppies - good thing they have tomorrow off.
Maybe 13 will be the Jay's lucky number because that is were we are going.
Giants win in the 13th 5 to 4. The Jay's outfield really needs to get their stuff together.
RA Dickie pitches a shut-out as the Jays win over the Rangers 5 - zip.
yeah, and as much as I dislike watching dickie pitch, I did watch tonight, along with hockey game,
and he was 'lights out', seems the warmer weather helps him pitch better, so, hope it continues.
Thanks heavens for remote controls for our TVs. Glad to see Dickie go all 8 innings for the Jays but he's not the only one delivering in a big way.
"Toronto's starting staff leads the Majors with 241 innings this season. It also ranks first in the American League in ERA (3.02), opponents' batting average (.232), hits per nine innings (6.67) and opponents' OPS (.646). Blue Jays starters have tossed at least six innings in 17 consecutive games and have limited the opposition to three earned runs or fewer in 15 straight.
The numbers are even more remarkable considering this was the supposed weakness of the team heading into the year. The fan base was in an uproar when David Price left via free agency, and there was no shortage of criticism in the media. Nobody's complaining now, at least not about the pitching.
One potential advantage for the starters is that everybody offers something a little different. There's a pair of hard throwers in Marcus Stroman and Aaron Sanchez. There's a finesse right-hander who relies on off-speed and command in Marco Estrada. A lefty in J.A. Happ, and then the unorthodox knuckleball from Dickey. For now, it is working to perfection."

I never did want them to resign price, far too much money for one player, when they can have just as strong a team spreading the wealth around a bit better.
